Jung Jaewon, a male who lived in Room 130 was a neighbour of a female in Room 131. Jung Jaewon initially did not talk with her, he was a neighbour that only watched her from afar until he figured out that he was actually admiring her instead of just watching her, which he thought he was only taking care of her.
The crush that was developed had caused him to overly interpret about every tiny details regarding on her. Unfortunately, this had resulted the illness that Jung Jaewon was currently suffering to worsen. The combination of his illness and obsession over the female was making himself unhealthy.
Besides Jung Jaewon, the female herself was involved in a toxic relationship and she was continuously abused verbally by her partner. Despite all of the horrible experiences, she chose to stay as she was blinded by how much she loved her partner.
However, ever since she moved in Room 131 and met Jung Jaewon, she found herself to be attracted to the male as well and she discovered her feelings toward her own partner slowly fading away. Apart from that, she was always delighted with Jung Jaewon's presence by her side.
Although her freedom was expanded when she was with Jung Jaewon, she could not bare with the fact that Jung Jaewon had to rely on her to carry on with his daily life. She presumed the addiction that he had made both of them unhappy. Again, she felt she was locked up within Jung Jaewon's hands while he, on the other hand, constantly clinging onto her portrayed he would never be able to be independent if she was gone.
At that point, the female's mind was in a state of disoriented. In the end, she thought it was best to let Jung Jaewon go as she could not stand seeing him experiencing hardship because of her. Even though she had to return to her awful relationship as she was commanded by her partner, she would rather go through that than having Jung Jaewon to be in pain.
