CABIR'S MANSION

It's been a week since nandini has been discharged from the hospital. Manik thought she will be alright in sometime but her condition has been worsened.

It's 7 in the evening manik and cabir were sitting dipping their feet in the swimming pool sipping beer.

Manik came to cabir for a change. The previous incidents took a toll not only on nandini but on manik too. He was as vulnerable as nandini.

"What's up?" Cabir asked taking a swig of his beer.

"I don't know. Everything is just messed up." Manik replied looking down in the water.

"Don't worry, nandini will be alright." Cabir said keeping his hand on his shoulder.

"I thought the same but nowadays she's been so distant lately. I thought she was just disturbed a little but now she's keeping her distance from me. Her nightmares have been worsened. I don't what to do. She wanted to join the hospital so I let her because being at home all day wouldn't be good for her." Manik said sounding extremely vulnerable 

"You are right. She just needs a little time and lots of care that's it. Have some patience she will come around." Cabir said patting his shoulder.

"I hope so." He whispered merely.

"So what about you and navya how is it going." Manik asked and a smiled formed on cabir's lips.

"She's the most beautiful and caring human being on this whole damn world. Seriously I love her more than anything else in this whole frigging world." Cabir said smiling like a fool.

"I'm so happy for you." Manik said smilingly and side hugged him.

"Okay bro I will leave now. Nandini must be reaching home anytime." Manik said and stood up to leave. They both hugged each other and manik left.

Malhotra mansion

Nandini came home after a tiring shift. She went to her bedroom and opened her closet when a pair of hands grabbed her waist.

She gasped and turned around and moved immediately. It happened in less than a second.

"Manik." she said breathlessly.

Hurt flashed in his eyes but he quickly covered it. Earlier nandini used to recognize his touch even with her closed eyes but now she's even scared by his mere touch. And it's going on like this only from past days.

"I'm sorry." he muttered.

"Umm let's have dinner." She said to avoid the awkward tension.

"Yeah let's go." He said going out of the room.

They had their dinner in silence and after that manik came to his room.
He was sitting on his bed surfing his phone when the door creaked open.

Manik's eyes travelled towards the door and nandini was standing with her head lowered down.

"Can I come in?" She asked quietly.

Manik gaped at her and immediately stood up. He walked towards her and kept his hands on her shoulders hesitantly.

"From when you need my permission to do anything?" He asked.

"When you have stopped talking to me properly." She said fidgeting with her fingers and his mouth opened in shock.

"I haven't stopped talking to you." He said slightly hurt.

"You are not your normal self." She whispered still looking down.
Before she can know he have already swept off her feet making her gasp in surprise.

She unknowingly wrapped her arms around his neck. He kept her on the bed and sat besides her.

"What are you doing?" She asked making some space for him to sit.

"We are going to have 'the talk'. " he said air quoting and sat besides her.

"About what?" She asked confused.

"About you."

"What about me?"

"Don't act alright, I know so many things are bothering you. I wasn't avoiding you it's just that I wanted to give you some time to think and have some space that's it. Now your thinking time is over so now tell me what's bothering you." He said looking straight in her eyes.

She sighed and wrapped her arms around his waist taking him in a hug. Manik was startled for a moment because in this whole week she didn't made any efforts to touch him or come near him. Leave touching alone she was so quite and loner all the time.

He was missing his old nandini who used to kiss him randomly or hold his hands in public to tell girls that he belongs to her. Her hugs and random tantrums. He missed it all.

This whole week she wasn't herself and it pained manik to see her like that.

"Hold me please." Her whisper came and he cocooned her in his arms. Her face was hiding in his chest and manik hid his face in her neck.

"I'm just scared." Her voice came after a deafening silence.

"Of what?" He asked.

"To lose you."

"And why is that?" He asked caressing her hair. He knew this is the time to comfort her. She need to spill of what's bothering her rather than keeping it inside.

"Whenever we are happy something bad happens and we always get separated. Some times I think that destiny doesn't want us together but then I'm too selfish to let you go. I'm even ready to fight with our fate. I will do anything to be with you. I'm so scared that one day something bad will happen and we will be separated forever. You are the most priceless possession of mine and the bestest thing that ever happened to me. It even pains to think that what if someday you will be away from me.." Nandini poured her insecurities with tears flowing from her eyes.

Manik was baffled to hear her insecurities. He did everything to remove her insecurities in London and now they are back again.

He can't blame her because she was right on her place. Everytime they are happy in their little bubble of happiness something bad happens and boom they are pushed to reality where there are only worst situations waiting for them. The bubble is just a mere imagination because in reality happiness doesn't last longer.

Life isn't a fairy tale. You can't live happily ever after without facing any problems.

"Baby I won't leave you not today not tomorrow not ever because manik and nandini are forever. Everything is going to be alright not today but eventually. We have given enough tests now it's time to be happy and trust me I won't let anyone snatch our happiness. As long as we can see the same sky,breathe the same air step on the same planet then you and I are not impossible." He said kissing her forehead and she smiled.

"I'm sorry."she suddenly said and he gave her a confused look.

"For hurting you so much. I knew how upset you were in this past week because of my distant behavior. Thank you for not letting me apart and always be with me supporting me throughout without complaining." She said kissing his cheek lightly.

"If you truly love somebody then their happiness is your happiness and their pain is your pain. So never thank me for loving you." He said playing with her fingers making her smile.

"I'm sleepy." She said pouting and manik chuckled at her antics.

"Let's you get you to your bed munchkin." He said and was going to pick her up when she stopped him.

"I want to be here with you." She said and he smiled.

"Alright then as my munchkin says." He said making her giggle.

They both lied down with nandini's head on his chest and his arms around her in a strong grip. Their fingers and legs entangled with each other.
After so many days they both were in peace.
