A brunette who looked familiar caught my attention as she walked into apartment #7
Roomate I got up off the stairs and made my way to the door slowly looking at all the things written on the walls, to the normal person this would seem like vandalism, but to me and all these people it was art. Each door covered with the personality of the people behind it
"Are you gonna come in" the same girl held open the only door without colour. I swore i had seen her before.
I lifted my backpack and walked inside the mid sized apartment the smell of pizza and cheap wine had filled the room.
She Shut the door, with the silence in the room I could hear the conversations outside these walls, though silence wasn't awkward it actually felt comfortable, it felt like I'd know her for years yet I never met her, stuck in a train of my own thoughts I didn't even realize she had said something
"I'm Laura, you must be Camila let me show you to you're room"
Her voice like I had heard it a million times, as i tried to figure out how i seemed to know this girl i slowly followed her across the living room into a surprisingly big room
"Have we ever met" her eyes glowing in the sun that shined through the open window before I could read the expression on her face she smiled
"Maybe in another life" and left the room, I placed my stuff on the new looking bed, I knew it sure as hell didn't come with the apartment and i didn't pay for it. I found out later she had bought it so the room wouldn't look so empty.

The next 3 months were pretty hard, I had a few jobs but nothing to serious, me and Laura had gotten pretty close, I wouldn't say best friends but pretty damn close. We knew everything about each other, well at least that's what I thought.
We had just got back from shopping, which Laura paid for of course, she actually had a good job which I was surprised by since she lived in this trashy apartment. Anyway I was in the middle of putting away whatever stuff I had, When a knock Came from the apartment door, with each knock you could hear the rusted hinges shake. I hesitated answering since I knew it wasn't for me and Laura was in the shower, plus this wasn't the kind of neighbourhood you just open the door for strangers But after a few minutes had past and the knocking continued, I slowly opened the door to see a guy with short black hair and the darkest eyes I have ever seen, he looked like he had been in a fight but next to him stood two young girls. One wearing a blue dress with a pink bow, the other wearing skinny jeans and a bomber jacket, both had dark hair and emerald green eyes, they reminded me of Laura's. Next to them sat a few suitcases and garbage bags.
"Is this the apartment of Lauren Jauregui?....Or umm Laura Jacobs?" His voice filled with worry. I hesitated before I answered
"My roommates name is Laura, I'm not sure if it's the same girl though" he smiled and bent down to the two little girls
"Daddy loves you guys so much, you have to stay with mommy for a while. But I pinky promise, I'll be back" he hugged the girls and held on like it was the last time he would see them, I stood confused as I watched the interaction.
"These are her daughters, lena and Lucy, tell her I'll be back in 3 months" he walked the girls into the apartment along with the suitcases and bags, I couldn't stop him, still in shock Laura had twin girls and that her real name was Lauren, why wasn't she using her real name?
"Wait I'm confused" I said as he walked back out, he turned to me, smiled and left.
After about 20 minutes of me sitting on the floor looking at the two children playing with dolls, trying to figure out what the fuck just happened. Laura or Lauren I should say came out of the bathroom
"Camz, have you seen my favourite jacket ya know the one with the sk-of course you have it on" she said drying her hair but immediately dropping the towel as she seen the girls
"Shit I didn't think he'd find me for at least another year" she said watching the girls
"I have so many questions" I spoke confused
