Chapter 1

I rush into the school doors, hearing the warning bell buzzing through the school. I hold my backpack close to me in fear I'll drop it. I run past the classrooms, speed walking every time I came across a door. No need to get lunch detention today. I open the door to 307, science. One of my least favorite classes. However, Ryan happens to be in that class, which can make it worse but I think it makes it slightly better. I spot my desk and plop down into it, hanging my backpack on the back of my chair. I zip it open, grabbing all the supplies I'd need for this class.

-pov change bc please I'm not gonna write in first person this entire time-

Ryan was scribbling some words down in his torn up red notebook. Brendon always wondered what he was writing down in there. The older boy lifted his head up in thought, squinting his eyes a bit. He opened his mouth and let out a small 'Ah' noise that was barely even audible, and went back to writing, his tongue slightly sticking out of his mouth. Spencer caught Brendon staring at the other brunette and nudged him to get him out of his trance, chuckling a bit.

"Well I can see you seem quite occupied," The blue eyed boy snickered slightly. Brendon rolled his eyes and blushed, for he had been caught staring (again.) "Oh be quiet," He hit Spencer lightly on the arm, making him chuckle again. "Oh please, Ryan's completely oblivious if he can't tell you like him. I'm pretty sure everyone knows at this point. No one just looks at someone like that, and for that long. C'mon." Spencer scoffed, now rolling his eyes.

Just then, Spencer heard footsteps approach the door, and he ran to his seat and sat down, not wanting to get in trouble, letting Brendon continue gazing at Ryan. The teacher walked in and started teaching his lesson in science, However Brendon wasn't listening, of course.

Ryan felt eyes piercing into the side of his head, but he ignored it for a bit. Brendon let out a small sigh of content with heart eyes.  After while Ryan really did feel Brendon's eyes on him. He looked up abruptly and to his side, only to meet eyes with the dorky sophomore. Brendon's eyes widened when he realized that he'd been caught staring. He quickly looked down on his desk blushing a deep crimson red. He bit his lip and looked in the other direction.

Ryan, however, wasn't flustered one bit. He shrugged it off and continued writing. He was used to people looking at him, as he was the "weirdo" He rolled his eyes and looked back down at his notebook, scribbling down notes to whatever the teacher was talking about. The older boy kept the fact that Brendon was looking at him in the back of his head, keeping note of how Brendon was looking at him. Realizing that it wasn't like everyone did stare at him.

After class and when the were switching to different classrooms Ryan ran up to Brendon and tapped his shoulder, as he turned around, getting wide eyed and blushy around him.

"Hey, you're Brendon right?"
