Chapter Fourty - Two

Luhan's Pov

We were heading back when suddenly I had a painful throb in my chest, Tao had also managed to catch up.

Whenever this happen its either because I used up too much of my power or it's because one of us is in pain. It's like a bond that connects all 12 of us.

The pain is a bit suffocating.

I stumbled a little but managed to balance myself against one of the trees. Tao saw me and quickly went over to my side, worried shown on his face.

"Hey, are you okay?" he asked.

I took a deep breath and answered, "Yeah, i just feel a little uneasy."

"You don't think something is wrong with Suho hyung and the others, do you?"

I shook my head, "I don't know but I don't think its a good thing."

After a moment of silence, Tao moved away and walked ahead of us, "Well, what are we waiting for? Lets go!"

Jaehee and I exchanged glances for a split second before we followed behind.

Suho's Pov

Blood dripping from the cuts they inflicted on me.

We were too exhausted, too injured to fight, but we knew better than to give in.

Even if it means dying in battle, I will not stop, I will not give up. I will continue to fight.

"No matter what happens, I love you guys."

We turned our heads, and there stood a shivering, bloodied, Chen.

He had somehow managed to walk his way outside.

With all the injuries on his body, I'm amazed he's still able to walk.

"Chen, what are you doing? You're hurt." Said Chanyeol who was also trying to bear the pain inflicted on him.

Though that did not stop Chen from pummeling the vampire that rushed to his face in a matter of seconds.

Chen held onto his chest, forcing himself to steady his shaking legs,"I will not go down like this, neither will you guys, so snap out of it and get your head in the game!"

After hearing that, it felt like all the fatigued I had earlier had just vanished.

"He's right, if we want to win, we have to throw away all thoughts and just aim for the goal. Are you guys with me?!" I shouted, taking in every last one of their faces.

"Yeah!"

"Obviously!"

"You can't do this without us!"

"We got this guys!"

I heard cheers from all over, then like a switch suddenly turned on, I readied my engine and dived into the battlefield, with my members right behind me.

We win, or we die.

It's life and death now.
