With the Fire nation gone from the Northern water tribe, and no sight of Zuko, everyone readied to leave. Sokka was still wary about having Miko come with them, but Katara and Aang we're on her side. Miko, herself, didn't have much to pack. She slung her broad swords over her shoulder and decided to go for a walk in the city. She wouldn't have this chance again for a long, long time.

The early moring air was bitterley cold, and she didn't get far before she started to feel sick. She never understood where it came from, but it suddenly started a few months back. Some morinings she'd be fine and others she'd be nausous and sick to her stomach. Miko never thought anything of it before.

"Hey Miko!" katara yelled running up to her. "Whoa, you don't look too good. are you ok?"

"Yeah, I'm ok. Just a little nauseous, it's nothing."

"It doesn't look like nothing. you should go to see one of the healers."

"Honestly Katara, I'm ok. it'll pass, like usual."

"Miko, we're going to be flying a lot. I don't want something to happen that's beyond my knowledge of how to fix. please, for me."

"Mhhhh alright, I'll go. I'll come find you right afterwards and let you know what she says. ok?"

"Ok."she turned and left Miko alone again. Miko really didn't see the need to go to the healer, but she could understand Katara's concern. Zuko had wanted her to do the same, but she woukdn't give in.

She walked to the healers hut. Yugoda was fiddling with her herbs when Miko came through the door.

"Well hello there. Oh my, are you feeling alright? why don't you lie down." she said as she led Miko to her healing table.

"I'm fine, really. I'm just a little nauseous"

"Hmmmm." she put her hand on Miko's stomach then nodded to herself.

"I just came here see if you could tell me why. It's been going on for a while now, almost every morning."

"Don't worry about it honey. It's normal. it just affects some more than others, and it'll get easier the farther along you are."

"How is this normal? And farther along in what? What are you talking about?" Miko said, sitting up rather quickly. That wasn't the best idea. Her head started spinning and her vision started to blur around the edges.

"Easy now. I don't need to passing out on me. Just lay back down there."

"Not until you tell me what you're talking about."

"Don't go getting all excited on me now. Its not good for the baby." Miko's eyed went wide, she was speechless.

"B-baby?" she managed to get out, through her shock.

"Yes. It's very healthy, and just the right size for 2 months along."

***********

"Katara!" Miko yelled running over to her.

"Hey, Miko, what did Yugoda say?"

"It was nothing, just a stomach bug. She gave me some herbs to help. But nothing too serious."

"Well that's great! We're all ready to leave."

"Great. let's go!"

They flew towards the Earth Kingdom. Flying on Appa gave Miko plenty of time to think, and she defiantly had a lot to think about. She thought back to that night with Zuko. she had been so mad at him, then everything changed in an instant. It happened so fast. she'd be lying if she said she'd never thought back to that night. she had thought of it often, but never had she thought about this.

What would she do? what could she do? She thought of Zuko, wondering where he could be. after the North Pole, he and uncle had disappeared. She worried about him, hoping he was ok.

How would she tell him. and what about the others, how long could she hide this from them. what if something happened?

There was so much to worry about, but she could never let anyone know, at least not now. Yugoda assured her that everything was perfect and the baby was healthy. Her worry now was her air bender training with Aang. he promised that he'd train her in what ever spare time he had. But he had his own training to worry about, with him being the Avatar.

No, her focus had to be on doing her part in the team, and that's what she's going to do.
