chance's pov

today was the day that jake was leaving us for los angeles. he was going to follow his dreams and i knew we had to support him. as much as i would miss my brother from another mother i wanted to see him happy and ohio just wasn't doing it for him anymore. tony and i gathered at the paul household to say goodbye one last time. logan was already there doing what he loved so now it was jake's turn.

"yo jake i'm gonna miss you bro." tony called out giving jake a hug.

"we'll still be the trio my boys don't think for a second i'm gonna switch up on you guys. vine didn't change me and neither will la." jake smirked at us all and gave us each another hug.  he grabbed his suitcase and started out the door with everyone following behind. we went our separate ways and jake was off.

morgan's pov

i was roaming the halls of the town's library looking for my next adventure. i was strolling through the non-fiction section when i heard voices laughing in the distance. i decided to ignore them because i wasn't used to hearing other people in the library. to be completely honest i didn't know anyone still knew this library existed.

when i found a book that looked promising i sat in the area that was upstairs and prepared myself to read a chapter to decide if the book was worthy of checking out. half way through the chapter i heard the laughing again. this time it was followed by voices.

"what the fuck bro, you're gonna get us kicked out." i heard a deeper voice say. the next thing i know there's a bang and an entire bookshelf is on the floor right in front of me. centimeters from my feet.

"what. the. hell." i mumble to myself under my breath. i looked up from the book case to see two guys standing in front of me looking guilty as hell.

"oh my god. we're so sorry um we'll pick it all up. did it hit you? are you okay." they boy that spoke was cute. tall, pale, green eyes, and dirty blonde hair. you were admiring his features when the other one began to speak.

"it was all his fault. i'm so sorry my friends an idiot." he said shoving his friend with his shoulder. this one was tan, and more serious looking. they were polar opposites but something told me their personalities were exactly the same.

"what the hell were you idiots possibly doing to knock over an entire book case? and why the hell are you guys even in the library?" i snapped at them. i wasn't mad because a book case laid on the ground at my feet, i was pissed because they had interrupted my reading.

"we're so sorry. we were just looking for the computers to print something and then we got to messing around and next thing we know all these books are all over the floor and we're talking to you." the blonde one spoke quickly and sounded regretful. the other one was full of held back laughter.

"well just pick it up and i won't tell anyone that you knocked it over. then you can go to the computers and i can go back to reading." i tried to sound less harsh than the last time i spoke. i guess what made me ease up on them is the fact that they were attractive.

"thank you. i'm chance by the way." he extended his hand but i left him hanging. "and this is anthony." he motioned towards his friend. anthony just bobbed his head up and smiled.

"um i guess i'm morgan." i said trying not to sound so irritated. chance smiled at me and i returned the favor with a small half smile as i picked my book back up. they began to pick the shelf back up and place it in it's original spot. i watched them as i peeked over the top of my book trying to hide the fact that i was curious about them. i watched chance as he picked up book after book creating a giant stack in his
arms. i watched his biceps tighten as he held the books while anthony placed them on the shelf.

chance's pov

as tony and i cleaned up our mess i couldn't take my mind of the girl. what was her name? morgan. that's right. she was beautiful and sarcastic and everything i could dream of. if only i could have met her without being the one to ruin her mood. i was caught up in my thoughts when i heard anthony whisper.

"dude, she's totally checking out your biceps." he smirked at me and then looked in morgan's direction. i saw her head move quickly down into her book. i knew that tony had to have been right so the rest of the time i showed off and hoped that she would see. after picking up all the books she still hadn't said a word to us again. i needed an excuse to talk to her again. come on chance think. use some of your knowledge about books from high school. come on. got it.

"okay so we picked up all the books but how are they supposed to be organized?" i asked making an excuse to stay longer.

"well, they get organized by category and then in alphabetical order from the authors last name." she spoke as she got up from her chair. "so in this case, it's the science fiction row and then abdell, would go before alta, and so on and so forth." she smiled at me as she put some of the books in order to explain it to me. i knew that my interest in organization had caught her interest.

i don't think she noticed but she stood there with tony and i helping us but all the books back in their right spots. we all made little small talk and we made morgan laugh a couple of times. so when we finished and i was all out of excuses to stay in the room with her i was sad. i must've showed it because tony gave me a little push.

"just ask for her number bro and then you can see her again." he whispered. what the hell. why not just go for it. as she began to go back into her book i approached her.

"so we finished, and thank you for helping but i have to go really find the computers now so i was wondering if maybe i could get your number so i could see you again?" i bet i sounded like an idiot not taking a breath between my sentences.

"sure, it's (440)-***-****." she smiled at me and i swear i felt my heart melt right then and there. it was that moment i knew i had to have her.

"thanks." i said smirking at her before i turned my back to walk away.

"oh and chance?" she called out.

"yeah?" i said turning back to face her.

"the computers are that way." she said laughing and pointing in the opposite direction.
