June Hopps
"Junie!" Sawyer yelled from across the parking lot.
"Hey soybean." I giggled
"Sooo what time should I pick you up for Neal's party."
"I'm not going." I state throwing my bag in his truck bed.
"What?! And why the hell not? They're supposed to be a bunch of hotties there com'on... if not for you than for me please!" He pleaded.
"Sawyer no. Not again."
"Come on, you puking on Max Turner during seven minutes was not that big of a deal, besides I bet no one even remembers."
"He still calls me pukie Junie." I giggle crossing my arms.
"He's just pissed because he got rejected in the funniest way possible."
"I wasn't rejecting him I told him I wasn't feeling well." I shrug my shoulders walking around the truck waiting for Sawyer to unlock the doors.
"All I'm saying is I need a hype girl." He said as he pressed the unlock button and got in. "Why would you wanna sit at home though? So you can watch your mom cut coupons and bitch about what Farrah did on teen mom today?"
"She doesn't watch that right now, now she's on keeping up with the kardashians."
"Oh jeez." He rolled his eyes
"I thought you liked that show."
"I do but I don't want your mom trying to wrap me up in a conversation over it. That's like love and hip hop if she ever gets into that you can say our friendship is on a break until she finds a new reality tv show." He sighed, I just laughed as we pulled out of the parking lot and onto the main road.
"Tell me you'll atleast consider going."
"I'll consider it."
"I'll tell them to hide the rum this time." He smirked
"Haha very funny." I rolled my eyes. The rest of the drive was short and sweet we mostly just listened to music and hummed along my house wasn't too far from the school and I could have walked but sawyer insists he gives me rides.
"Thanks for the ride soybean." I yelled as I grabbed my bag from the back, I walked back up to the window waiting for a response.
"No problem bitch!" He winked as he pulled away with a screech. I pushed my hair behind my ear as I made my way up to the big double doors of my moms house. I opened the door entering the foyer.
"N-No! No that won't do! Look you've got four days before the deadline that's it." My moms voice echoed through the house. "No! Li-listen to me. N-Tim listen you need to fucking do you're god damn job or I'll fire your ass....." I walk over to the table in between the double stairs, I looked through the mail on the table. Two bills and a shit ton of junk as always. "I don't give a shit what you do! Just get it done!" My mother finishes up her conversation with Tim as I begin to head up the right hand stairs, "June? Is that you."
"Nope. Just a really shitty burglar." I fuck with her as I continue up the stairs. There's two sides to this house.. my side, and my mothers. I lived on the left and she lived on the right. And we never really talked to each other about anything. And she did exactly what Sawyer said clipped coupons-not that we needed them- and watched reality tv.
And me... well I planned my life. I know exactly what I want to do and where I want to go... and Neal Tucker's party is not where I see myself.I walk into my large ass room larger than I need and more room than I'd ever use and I plop down on my bed, closing my eyes waiting to fade away.
Kolin Thatcher
I walk out to my car after my lessons and unlock the door "hey! Kid!" Someone yells behind me. "you the edgy kid!" I fucking hate that word. "Uh.. Kolin!"
"What." I finally turn around this huge guy in a football jersey jogged up to me.
"Dude you look like you could use some friends party tonight here." He handed me a piece of folded up paper.
"Anyone gives you shit say Kennedy invited you." He smiled "but uh I gotta go see ya there man!" He patted me on the back and ran off. I know it's a trap but it seems interesting.
I step into my car, starting it up and panic! Blared across the radio... great if they didn't think I was edgy before they sure do now!!
I slam my head against the steering wheel, the horn starts it's endless chime, I pick my head up after a minute so no one thought something was wrong. I started to drive out of the parking lot and onto the main road, I passed by all the fancy houses wishing I could have the honor of living in such a beautiful place instead of a shitty little make shift two bed room apartment with my brother Trevor. And by make shift I mean a double parlor one bedroom but Trev put up a curtain and turned it into his room. And I get the honor of have a bedroom with a door because I'm just cool like that... okay that's a lie Trev's a million times cooler than me.
I pulled up on the curb and parked the car. I sighed looking up at the apartment building. Home for the next 6 months... hooray....
