A Night I'll Never Forget

Chapter 2

Sofia's POV

I stared at my reflection in the mirror. Honestly, ngayon lang ako nagmukhang tao. I mean a real grown up women.

Julianna put some light make up on my face earlier. She just highlighted some features in my face.

Nakakahiya mang aminin pero wala talaga akong alam kung paano maglagay ng kolorete sa mukha. I'm not like Julianna who is really into this stuff.

"Sofia..." she called out.

I took a last glance of myself in the mirror before I turned to her. She was standing beside her walk in closet.

She walk towards me. "You see this? This dress will be worn out by...." she pause for a second. "By you of course" with a very big smile that is plastered in her lips. At halatang excited na isout ko ang damit na hawak niya.

Umiiling akong tumingin sa kanya at sa dress na hawak niya. It was a red dress, a very seductive one. Hanggang mid thighs yung length. Feeling ko if I'll wear that it'll show all my curves, at kita pa cleavage ko.

"No! I won't wear that, kita ang kaluluwa ko sa damit na yan." I said while not taking of my eyes into that dress. There's no way I would wear that.

She held the dress high while wiggling it. "Ano ka ba? 20th century na ngayon. And one more thing I won't take no for an answer Sofia si Teri pa mismo ang pumili niyan. Please, just for tonight" maypagtatampo sa tinig niya and she goes out her room.

I let out a deep sigh.

Bakit ba kasi hindi ako makahindi sa bestfriend ko.

I guess I'll consider it, it's Teri's birthday after all. I'll wear this for tonight, but just this night.

"Happy Birthday Teri!" I greeted Teri. I hugged her and plant a kiss in her cheeks.

"Thank you!" she thank me at bumitiw ako mula sa pagkakayakap sa kanya.

Nanlalaki ang mata niyang tinignan ako, mula ulo hanggang paa.

"Oh my god Sofia! You look so stunning and sexy. I guess you like the dress the dress I bought to you." she said while pagkamangha is still evident in her face.

I rolled my eyes unto her while I couldn't hid my smile. Ang sarap kaya sa feeling if somebody admires your beauty.

Tumingin-tingin siya sa likod ko, tila may hinahanap. "Where's Julianna?" she ask.

"Nasa labas, susunod na lang daw siya rito." I answered.

Teri just nodded. At giniya niya ako sa loob. Loud music filled my ear drums and a lot are dancing in the dance floor.

I saw someone approaching and held Teri's waist. The guy is whispering something on her and she giggled.

"Sofia, is it okay na iwan muna kita rito. He wants to dance with me daw kasi." while pointing the man beside her.

"Of course." I said smiling. She smiled at me and they started walking away.

I roam my eyes around, well Wix Bar is quite wider than the other bar I've been to. From floor to ceiling siguradong mahal ang mga materiales na gamit dito.

Napatingin ako sa gilid nang may nakita akong babae at lalaking naghahalikan, no they're not just kissing. They are making out. Gosh! This isn't the first time I saw someone making out sa loob ng bar but are they even ashame of what they where doing. Hello! Public place kaya ito, maraming nakakakita sa kanila.

Nagpatuloy na lang ako sa paglalakad at hinanap si Hendra, agad ko na man siyang nakita. I was about to call her name. Nang nagvibrate ang phone ko.

I took it out from my purse while walking to the side of the bar kung saan hindi kalalasan ang tugtug. I look at it for a second it was Rosette, my younger sister. I slide the answer button.

"Rosette ba't napatawag ka?" I ask her while smiling.

Bumuntong hininga muna siya bago sinagot ang tanong ko.

"Ate, 'wag ka raw po muna umuwi dito sabi ni mama. Nandito kasi si ante Jocelyn. Alam mo na man yun ayaw na ayaw kang makita." she said with a sad tone.

Napalis ang ngiti sa aking labi nang marinig ko ang sinabi niya.

Magsasalita sana ako ng nagsalita ulit siya sa kabilang linya.

"At pinapasabi ni mama, kailan pa... raw yung sahod mo ate? Kailangan daw niya nang pera ngayon. Malaki kasi raw... ang natalo niya sa tong-its kanina." tila nagdadalawang isip niyang sabi sa akin.

Kaya pala may apat na missed call si mama kanina. Naiisip niya lang akong tawagan tuwing may kailangan siya. Ni minsan hindi ako nakarinig sa kanya ng " kamusta ka na?". Hindi naman kaila sa akin na ayaw ni mama sa aking pati narin ng iba naming kamaganak.

Bumuntong hininga muna ako bago ko siya sinagot. "Rosette, paki sabi kay mama na sa makalawa pa ang sahod ko." at pinatay ko na agad ang tawag ng maramdaman ko ang pagtutubig ng aking mga mata.
