Chapter 5 - the fight for fate

Sophie's pov
"I am SO glad you girls came" I said facing my two best friends Bella and pepper. "So wait what happened with Justin?" Pepper asked. "Long story didn't work out I'm over it" I said quickly trying to tell the girls about newt. "Awe what happened?" Bella asked. "No time Bella trying to tell you guys something here!" I exclaimed. "Ok ok tell us" said pepper. "So there was Justin, then you all were like newt, but I was all like but Justin, but Justin never showed but newt was there but then he actually wasn't cuz there's this other girl!" I said sputtering out random things trying to tell them everything that had happened. "Woah woah slow down there!" Said Bella. I sighed. "Long story short I like newt." "What that's great!" The girls said hugging me "so what's the problem?" Pepper asked. I looked down "he has a girlfriend. "WHAT?!" Pepper exclaimed. "When did this happen!" Bella asked. "The night after you told him to get over me!" I squealed. "Why do I have to be such a great convincer!" Bella whined smacking her fist against her knee as she sat down. "Well what do I do!" I asked urgently. "You tell him!" Pepper said. "What, are you crazy, did you not just here me tell you he has a girlfriend!" I said. "Sophie he's dated this girl for what? A week? He's liked you for over a year!" Bella pointed out. "He'd take you over her for sure!" Bella said! "Yeahhhhh then me sawyer, you newt, and Bella and Troy could go on triple dates! Pepper said cheerfully. "Uhhh me and Troy aren't
dating" said Bella. "Yeah well you should, I ship trella" pepper said and Bella laughed. "One romance at a time please!" I said "right, you go get him girl!" Pepper said. "Really?" I asked Bella and pepper nodded. "Ok I'm off!" I said going. "Wait!" Cried pepper. "What?" I asked. "Don't you want to change your outfit?" She asked. I looked down at my sweat pants and tang top but smiled. "Newt won't care how I look" I said before taking off.
I found newt about to open the gym door. "Newt!" I called. He turned around "Sophie!" He said surprised and nervous as he quickly shut the gym door blocking my view. "Look newt, I made a really big mistake..... every single day of my life until today. And the mistake was not saying this: I've always looked for guys who are sweet and cute and romantic, but the truth is your all that and more. Your the sweetest most adorable guy I've ever met. Your funny and quirky and loyal, and you never gave up on the idea of us, even though I put you threw such a hard time you've always somehow been there for me when I needed you. And I took you for granted. I assumed you would just always be there. And when you weren't I thought I'd like it but I didn't. I missed you. And I realized every other guy is nothing compared to you. And when I found out you had a girlfriend.. my heart just stopped. I don't know where I'm getting at with this but.. I like you. Like a lot. Like I love you" I said looking up at him his eyes where wide and his jaw was dropped . "I know you have a girlfriend so it's not fair of me to ask you this but- " before I could finished my sentence, newt had leaned over and kissed me.

Newts pov
The kiss was passionate and I completely lost myself in the moment. After we broke apart I saw Sophie's eyes light up and realized I hadn't made up our chemistry in our head. I smiled, "so does this mean you want to be with me even though I've been horrible to you for the last year and you actually have a normal nice girlfriend? I asked hopefully . "Sophie," I laughed opening the door gym and bringing her in "normals boring" I said. As she walked in I saw her gaze across the room in amazement. The lights were off but there were candles for Lily's everywhere and there was a big banner with the words "I love you" on them. "Is this all for me?" She said smiling. I nodded. You didn't think I was gonna give up on fate that easy did you? I smiled. "What about asha?" She asked. "Asha was a desperate attempt to move on from you that failed miserably" I said. It was always you" I said. "I actually can't believe you actually like me" I said. "Wait...am I dreaming? PLEASE don't let me be dreaming. Pinch me!" I said worried. Sophie reached over and pinched me. "Owww" I said. "Well at least now you know your awake your welcome" Sophia said laughing. "I'm awake!" I cheered and me and Sophie hugged. This was it. This was all I ever wanted and now I had it. It was the happiest moment of my life. We just both sat there and hugged for a while

Authors notes- THIS IS NOT THEN END OF MY STORY! I'm working on more episodes that will be about Sophie and newt's relationship, and I'll even dabble into pepper and Bella's love life! But it might be s while till I upload these episodes so be patient!
