CHAPTER 4
The last bell of the day rang excusing everyone from school. Kids walked out of the main entrance building where Skyler and John sat on the red cobble stone steps as Sandra among others walked out of the main building and was relieved to see Skyler with John. She then adjusted her bag around her left shoulder and ran up to them. Skyler stood followed by John who seemed startled by Sandra's relieved look.
“Skyler where were you, I was worried.” said Sandra catching her breath as Skyler look around the area to make sure no teachers or staff where around as she then leaned forward to Sandra and whispered,
“Sorry, I ditched. I had to talk to John, but what made you so worried, I always leave school grounds.”
Sandra shook her head as she also too looked around the area for any signs of strange people. She then looked up at Skyler and said,
“There was some guy earlier looking for you. I didn't catch his named or where he came from, but I got a weird vibe from him like something seemed totally off about him. I don't know maybe I was reading to much into it, but I definitely knew that you don't know this guy, well from I know and heard anyway.”
Skyler looked puzzled and confused. Who would go to the trouble to meet her at school out of the blue. Skyler then got a weird feeling of the whole situation as then John placed his hands on her shoulders and whispered into her ear,
“Don't worry, it must have been a teacher of something. I wouldn't worry so much if I were you. Well I got football practice I'll see you later.”
Skyler nodded as he kissed the top of her head and left waving goodbye and smiling. She smiled and waved back as Sandra then nudged her and said with a curious tone,
“Sooo, how did it go with you two? Looks like it went well.”
Skyler sheepishly smiled as she then grabbed on to Sandra's arm and pulled her closer to her and gave a tremendous sigh of relaxation.
“OMG, you wouldn't believe it! He's the best ever! Sandra I think he's the guy I'm going to marry and spend the rest of my life with.”
Sandra gave her a is that so look and then giggled at Skyler’s lovey dovey expression. They then began to walk down the steps to the block to the bus stop Skyler had taken earlier in the day to go to school. They waited patiently for the city bus as then a car horn rang in their ears. They suddenly turned to where the horn was honking and found a black large S.U.V parked across from the bus stop Skyler and Sandra where waiting at. The diver's side window slowly moved down and Skyler's mother called out to her,
“Hey! Skyler how 'bout a ride home?”
Skyler smiled as she looked t Sandra and nodded. They both ran through the street crossing through incoming traffic. They ran quickly passed cars as they made it to the curb of the street where Skyler's mother was parked. They opened the passenger’s side doors as Skyler took shot gun and Sandra sat right behind Skyler.
“Hey mom.”
“Hello Mrs. Luna. How was your day?” asked Sandra as Skyler's mother smiled and said looking back at Sandra,
