Cartier ballroom,
Victoria Island.

Jasmine Bankole smiled at her husband as they stood in front of the camera taking pictures on their 30th anniversary. The journey was far and just like yesterday, they were newlyweds and expecting their first child. Their issues were unresolved, she had almost given up but somehow they had stayed happily married with four kids and five grandchildren.

And yet, she could still remember those days when it had always been from one thing to another which she could never forget.

Thirty years ago..........................

Bankole's Residence,
Irun, Dubson Estate.

Jasmine hums to the song playing from her phone as she prepares breakfast in the kitchen while her husband dresses up for work. Six months of being married and it seems longer. He is always busy and never around for some quality time as a couple. Sometimes, she feels like an old woman stuck in a young lady's body. She yearns for his touch and attention but vibes with it against her innermost desires.

She hears his footsteps as he walks into the dining room. she carries the tray and pauses the song before serving him. A simple breakfast for busy mornings was how he liked morning meals. He smiles and thanks her before diving into the food. She watches each swallow and morsel of food travel down his throat, remembering how much she loves him and still questions his feelings which were different from his actions. While dating, he had a shy, sweet and nice persona that warmed her heart. On the other hand, she was the life of the party who made him step out of his shell. Right now, she does not feel that way anymore but finds herself just playing along.

"I am done. Have to go and don't want to be late." Ise says picking up his briefcase and suit, planting a kiss on her cheek, and rushing out of the house.

"Okay then. Have a wonderful day." She replies waving at his retreating back until he disappears out of her sight. She starts clearing away the plates and carries the tray to the kitchen hoping to clean up before leaving for work.

Jay's Dance School,
Taki Island.

Barbie Adams gathers her young dancers to begin rehearsals for their upcoming annual dance competition. She is the assistant manager, a choreographer, and a close friend to Jasmine. Recently divorced with a child, she is trying to balance motherhood and her personal life which at the moment was not an easy task. In her mid-thirties, young and beautiful with dark brown eyes and long brunette hair.

Jasmine waves at Barbie before going into the office area on the second floor. She smiles at her secretary who greets her with a cup of tea and some papers in hand, informing her about her schedule.

Later on, Barbie joined her feeling refreshed after taking a quick bath. Jasmine puts aside some paperwork, "Hey, how was your session with the kids?"

She smiled at the thought, "It was fun. I love teaching kids. It reminds me of Lily at that age."

"Talking about Lily, how is she doing? Still upset about the divorce?"

"No. This morning, she asked if he could drop her off at school and I told her it was impossible because Michael was out of town. She didn't believe me and acted up. I had to make a call so he could tell her himself before she even allowed me to drop her off in school".

Jasmine laughs, "I can imagine".

Barbie rolls her eyes, "Ever since the divorce, there is always a reason for her to misbehave. I could have sworn I had the strong urge to give her a good beating."
