The girls stood in a line. Trisha was silent. Fredrick, the Kings loyal servant came out. He stood there awkwardly but ran behind the curtains. It seemed the king had a little stage fright.

"I thought you said the King wanted us here!" Trisha whispered to Julia who shrugged.

"Fredrick made him call it early since the meeting he stormed out of has been re scheduled for Friday. He said there's no time like the present." Julia replied as she awkwardly played with her blue dyed hair.

Other maids came in along with the kitchen staff, gardening staff and some others. Evangeline saw the two Princes come in and stand near the throne. She recognized Stephan but assumed the other was his younger brother Phillip who looked to be around 5 years old.

"Angie Promise me something." Trisha spoke up.

"Sure what is it?" Evangeline looked at her friend.

"Whatever you do, Do not run out of here." Trisha held her hand tightly.

"Um sure?" The blonde raised her eyebrow.

Suddenly everything went silent. A muffled shout could be heard from behind the curtains.

"Settle down!" Fredrick roared shutting everyone up who hadn't already. "May I introduce King Aston The First" Everyone clapped accept Trisha and Evangeline who held hands. Trisha seemed nervous.Evangeline looked for Ash but he was no where to be seen. She sighed and clapped also.

"Um Your majesty its time for you to come out now..." Fredrick sighed grumpily.

"Yes one moment!" The voice was loud but familiar to Evangeline. Her eyes widened as the King stepped out of the curtains.

Dressed in navy blue along with his crown stood the King but not just anyone stood there.

It was Ash.

Or so Evangeline thought. Her jaw dropped and she couldn't speak even if she wanted to.

Trisha squeezed her hand to wake her up. Evangeline felt her heart rip in two. The guy she liked and who she trusted appeared to be the main reason her family suffers.

"Im sorry Angie." Trisha mumbled.

Then at that moment everything hit her like a ton of bricks. She had just Kissed the King!!! She has just- Her thoughts were stopped when he spoke up.

"Um sorry this was unexpected, Fredrick here made me call it a little early heh." His eyes looked at the small crowd of employees but they stopped on one particular maid. Evangeline Rose. His eyes locked with hers but something was off. Hers seemed to be more glossy as if she was about to cry.

A wave of guilt hit him like a horse and carriage. He looked away and cleared his throat. "Well um does anyone have any questions?" He asked.

One put their hand up.

"Yes when are you going to give this kingdom a queen!?" A man early 40's asked. He looked to be a Gardiner.

"Well Derrick I er-" He paused.

"Yeah when are you to wed Sire!" Another called out.

"Um Well you see Im not ready yet..." He stopped looking at Evangeline who had one single tear run down her pale face. He felt his heart shatter at that moment.

"I have a question! Your Majesty I have heard you have canceled the new stadium being built! What have you to say!?" The girl yelled. Everyone gasped.

"Yeah I heard you stopped it to make more houses for the poor!" Another yelled in anger.

Evangeline's mind was blown at that point. She couldn't take it. Ignoring her promise to Trisha she ran out. Pushing and shoving before she finally escaped. She fell to the floor and weeped. Aston (Ash) Saw her run but there was nothing he could do. He looked to Trisha who could only look at the floor in response.

She then ran to her chamber and fell asleep with her now broken heart and trust.
