Chapter I.
LOUI
I, Jerome San Jose, take you, Sandra Martinez to be my lawfully wedded wife, my constant friend, my faithful partner and my love from this day forward. In the presence of God, our family and friends, I offer you my solemn vow to be your faithful partner in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, and in joy as well as in sorrow. I promise to love you unconditionally, to support you in your goals, to honor and respect you, to laugh with you and cry with you, and to cherish you for as long as we both shall live.”
“Haaaaaaahhhhhhh” *0*
Argh! It’s the worst feeling ever, ang magpigil ng antok.
Actually, I’m not the one who supposed to be here. It should be my mom. But because she can’t make it here cause of her hectic schedule, I’m the one she asked to be her representative.
Yes. She’s very very busy that it comes to a point na kahit ako, her only daughter must set an appointment just to have a minute to talk with her.
“Yaya, labas po muna ako.” I’m with my yaya, which I consider my second mom. She’s the one who took care of me since I was a little. My mom asked her to accompany me here.
I decided to get out of the church dahil bukod sa nakaka antok ang ambiance sa loob, sobrang init pa kaya hindi ako komportable.
I took a walk around the church. And while I am walking, hindi ko mapigilang mapahanga sa mga nakikita ko. It was like Im attending a wedding ceremony in the seventeenth century in Europe because of the baroque style of the church that made it classical. I think it’s the best place to say your ‘I do’s to the one you’ll spend your life with.
While strolling around, I feel the soft, cool wind, touches me. And the feeling is so perfect. Mabuti na lang pala at lumabas ako.
Ninamnam ko muna yung preskong hangin before I decided to go back. Baka hinahanap na ako ni Yaya.
And while I’m taking my way back in the church,
*bogs*
I accidentally bumped into something.
The moment I raised my head to see where I bumped, I realized that it’s not something, it’s someone!
“I’m sorry” we said in unison.
“no, It’s my fault. So I’m sorry” I gave him a smile after I said that.
“it’s okay. By the way, are you hurt?” he asked.
“um-no, im perfectly fine” this guy is a gentleman, ako na nga nakabunggo, pero he’s still concerned.
he nod as a response to me.
We stared to each other for a moment, before ako magpaalam sa kanya.
“um, I think kailangan ko ng umalis. Sorry ulit ah” after I said that, I began to walk fast, hindi ko na hinintay pa siyang sumagot.
---
“bakit parang kanina ka pa tahimik? May problema ba?” I got back to reality after my yaya asked me that question.
I was thinking about him since nung umalis ako sa harap niya. His very handsome face didn’t leave my mind. I didn’t even manage to ask what his name is. Edi sana maaadd ko siya sa fb. Hehe.

JAKE
“Congratulations to the new couple !!!!” said the mc of the event. Then he lifts one glass of wine and said “cheers!!”
“CHEERS!” response of the visitors.
Mostly sa mga visitors ay mga business tycoon here and abroad. Syempre my parents belong to them.
I left my mom and dad sa table kung san kami nakaupo. I feel out of place ‘cause all who’s sitting there are elders.
So I decided to find a place where I can be alone. While searching for an empty table, someone caught my attention.
“Do you mind if I join you here?” I asked her. The girl I met in the church. The girl who bumped me. The beautiful girl who never leave my mind since the moment I met her.
Hininto niya yung ginagawa niya and she looked at me. “oh! You-“ mukhang hindi niya yata inaasahang makikita niya ulit ako.
I gave her a smile.
“no, I don’t mind. Please have a sit.” She said.
“good thing you still remember me” I said after I got seated.
“of course. Hindi pa naman ako makakalimutin”
“mag isa ka lang?” I curiously asked her.
“no. kasama ko ang yaya ko. She’s over there maya maya lang babalik din yun” sabi niya “how bout you? Are you alone?”
“I’m with my parents actually.” I said, looking at her.
“parents? You mean, both mom and dad?” she asked.
“Yeah” I said. Then she nod and smile. Smile that didn’t reach her eyes.
“Kanina pa tayo nag-uusap pero hindi parin natin kilala ang isa’t isa.” I said, para humaba ang usapan naming.
A genuine smile from her face. At napansin ko, that made her more beautiful.
“I’m Jake.” I said then I offer my hand for a shake hands.
She took it and “Loui.” She said. Then we smile at each other.
A chubby woman, whom I think in the early 50’s, went in our table.
“Ahm, Jake she’s my yaya. The one I told you lately.” Loui said, introducing that woman to me.
“Goodevening po” I said to her.
“ya, he’s Jake. Bagong friend ko.”
“Magandang gabi din hijo” she said while smiling. “kumain ka na ba? Gusto mo sumabay ka na samin ni Loui.”
“sige po” I said since hindi pa naman ako kumakain.
Then we went to the buffet table and served ourselves our own dinner. We ate together at the same table. While eating, we also discuss some stuff.
Nang medyo malalim na yung gabi, they decided to leave and go home.
“Jake, mauna na kami.” She said bago sumakay ng sasakyan nila. “it was nice to meet you.” She added.
“same here, hope to see you next time.” I said.
She just smile, then tuluyan na siyang sumakay ng sasakyan nila.
“Take care!” And that’s the last thing I said.
To be continued…
