It's the first day of group camp with a bunch of other girls.
I had all my stuff ready to go and I was excited for camp. A week with my best friend?! Camping, just the two of us.
When my mom dropped me off at the camp site I looked around for Alyssa, my bff. She waved at me in the distance and I make way to her. We hugged and I hauled all my stuff out of my mom's car, and gave a good bye kiss.
"I am so excited! This will be a great week, come I already have our tent set up and stuff in it!" Alyssa pulled at my arm and I pick up my stuff.
We sat in the tent together talking about who else we should invite in our tent.
The trumpet sounded in the distance, it ment it was time for our hike.
I grabbed my hiking back, so did alyssa, and we linked arms to the pavilion where all the other girls were.
"I am Mrs.Falls! You camp director and these are your counselors!" She waves an arm at the 3 ladies behind her. I couldn't see them but then the moved forward.
Chyler. What was she doing here? Everyone pretended she was a normal counselor and moved on. She wore a red worn out cap, tan button up shirt, rolled up sleeves and skinny jeans with combat boots.
Mrs.Fall continued talking to us about saftly and procution.
"Alright ladies please get with your asigned driver and we will drive up to the trail!"
Alyssa grasped my arm playfully and moved out of the crowd to a blue mini van.
"We get to ride with Mrs.Sabra! I love her so much, she so funny!"
Thank goddess we didn't have Chyler. I would have a panic attack.
We drove with 3 other girls in the car through the mountains to our trail.
Was a long drive but the veiw was so pretty.
"Mya, we are here!" Alyssa shakes me and we get out of the van ready to go.
We started the hike, alyssa and I were in the back of the group.
We had to cross a little River, alyssa and I held onto each other as we crossed.
I stepped on a slippery slanted rock and started to fall when I felt strong arms catch me from behind. I stood up streight and look behind at who helped me.
Chyler.
I felt like as if I was going to fall again. I studdered and tried to form words in my mouth.
Alyssa nudges me, and the sighs.
"Sorry, she's shocked at the momento, so I'll say it for her. Thank you for saving my life. Let's go spacer."
Alyssa pushes me along and I still look at Chyler as she give a little smile.
"It's ok," She smiles at me. My heart melted.
When alyssa pulled me out of the river I snapped away from Chyler and to the ground.
"Are you ok?" Alyssa asked me, and I just nodded still trying to put words out of my mouth.
For the rest of the hike I can't seam to function right knowing that she's behind me. All I can think about were those strong soft arms that caught me.
When we hiked to our destination wich was a waterfall, we spent a little time eating and playing in the water.
I sat down on a flat rock and pulled my lunch sack out, I started gnawing on some green grapes as I watched the others play in the water, they all had sports bras on and shorts to swim with.
I stopped chewing when I saw Chyler with a black Nike sport bra and back shorts.
I could help but stare and watch her play with the other girls. I wanted to join but I was to nervous.
After alyssa ate she jumped in the water too, I just watched Chyler splash water and laugh being soaked by the other girls splashes. I can't help but chuckle to myself and watch.
Alyssa begs me to join in my I refused, and then Chyler encurages me on. I freeze again, trying harder to move myself and finnally I had the curage to speak.
"Ok," what?! Why did I say that, now I was going to make a fool of myself.
I remove my shirt and put shorts on I brought and slowly get in the water. It was super cold.
Alyssa splashes at me then I splash back and wveryone was splashing around. I was just playing and being myself, when Chyler laughs my heart beats a second faster.
When we all hiked back to the cars dried off, I saw Chyler behind me talking to some of the girls and looked over to me and jogged right up next to me.
"Hey Mya," She knew my name."You splash hard, haha, and got real gut you know that right?" She looks at me with a small smile and I smile back
"Yha, I guess I do."
She chuckles and places her red worn out hat on my head.
And walks to her car.
