Outside, Arthur was huffing and puffing with all his strength at the brick villa whereas Jones and Justin both clung onto Ophelia's shoulders for dear life.
Soon, the winds stopped. As the girl looked out, there knelt the Big Bad Artiewolf, wheezing and panting in exhaustion.
"Well...I guess he failed to move us now!" winked Ophelia, turning to her huddling brothers. That's when they relaxed their bodies.
"Thank you, our dear sister. You really protected us with your strong house." Justin was relieved, while Jones was already mouth-watering as his eyes averted to the delicate, creamy and fruity cake. Food was truly his weakness.
"HEY! Could we have the cake? I'm starving now!" called Jones.
"Alright, let's feed that cookie monster before he keeps whining." Giggled Ophelia, holding Justin's sleeve as they headed stepped towards the table for some desserts and tea.
Clearing all the desserts, Justin was focusing himself on several books at the study, studying the contents on the papers. Jones was displaying his childish side as he rocked back and forth on the rocking chair. While Eevee was licking her paws, cleaning herself thoroughly, her owner was busily working in the kitchen, flipping the recipe her parents left for her.
After some readings, she managed to gather all the required ingredients for the homemade apple pie recipe. With flour, milk, butter, sugar and eggs placed beside the cooking utensils, she was almost all prepared to bake a delicate treat to her brothers until she sighed when she noticed that there weren't enough apples for the recipe.
"Oh my...perhaps...I need to go to the woods to pick some fresh apples." mumbled Ophelia. Removing her apron, the young pig came out of the kitchen and reached for her brown basket which Eevee was hiding in.
"Hey, Jones, Justin, I need to go to the woods for a while to pick some fruits and flowers. Don't worry guys, I will be back a while later." called Ophelia.
"Into the woods? Aren't you afraid that the wolf may still be in this forest, Lia?" Justin, as what a caring brother would do, expressed his concern to his baby sister.
"Yeah." added Jones, "Maybe he is still stalking us after he failed to blow your house down, and then he will take you away once he spotted you before claiming you as his prey!"
"Uh...I don't think so...." murmured Ophelia. "Don't worry, I shall be more careful."
She then turned to the door. "I'm off now, see you guys later. "she winked at them as she stepped outside.
What she didn't realize though, was that a pair of glowing brown eyes was watching her departure from her cosy home, a basket in her hands. He grinned to himself upon gazing at the skipping figure, planning his next actions.
A while later, Ophelia and Eevee both arrived at the orchards. What was ahead of them made her eyes sparkle! The fresh, ripe red apples were hanging on the trees, waiting for her arrival. Delighted, Ophelia removed her black shoes and climbed up the apple trees to pluck the fruits, which will be placed into her basket hung on one of the branches nearby. When the job was done, she slid down from the trunk and back to the land.
"Looks like there is enough apples for us to make a lot of apple recipes as a treat to Jonesy and Justy..." murmured Ophelia, counting the apples she had picked. "And I can make some apple special drinks for you guys too, isn't it a good idea, Eevee?"
"Eevee!" (Yeah!) winked Eevee.
"Come on, now let's get some flowers for my brothers!" she chimed. Then they set off to another part of the forest.
The colorful flower field was the most beautiful place in the forest. Various kinds of blooming flowers surrounded the young piggy and her Pokemon companion. Thinking of picking some fresh flowers back to her house for decoration and crafting some flower crowns as a gift to her brothers and her beloved ones, Ophelia first reached for the lilies, irises, tulips, roses and pansies, then she sat on a log and started weaving some flower crowns while Eevee was staring at the fireflies gliding in the middle of the air.
"This pink one, is for Jones!" she giggled like a young child, "And Justin loves yellow the most, so this one is for him...." Upon placing them both in the basket, she held a blue flower crown in front of herself, appreciating it.
Just when she placed her azure flower crown on her hair, they were interrupted by a lone howl in a distance. There stood Arthur, alone, making a prolonged, mournful cry at the moon. All the howling scared Eevee that she curled up in a ball, trembling in Ophelia's arms.
"It's the wolf!!" Ophelia gasped. She bent down to her knees so as not to be discovered by her enemy.
"Oh goodness...I....better be careful...!" murmured Ophelia, she could feel every hair on her body rose upwards. Sweating, she grabbed her basket of flowers, fruits and hand- made garlands and quickly fled away to the nearby trees.
During the escape, Ophelia was too bothered to run that she didn't notice one of her shoe was gone. Both ran and ran until the howling died out gradually.
"Phew...that's really scary. Hopefully, it stopped." Ophelia muttered, letting the fluffy creature free. All the running made them both totally exhausted, so Ophelia stopped near an oak tree for some rests while Eevee also crawled into the basket to take a small nap.
As she looked down to the ground, she noticed something was missing on her legs. "What happened to my other shoe? Where did it go?" she gasped.
But then, a familiar and husky voice rang behind her ears. "Awwww....that's the kind, little sister to her brothers..." It belonged to a wolf-eared man who just finished fixing his brown cravat.
"Oh no! It's the wolf!" gulped Ophelia. Indeed, behind her, was none other than the cheeky saboteur of her brothers' homes – the Big Bad Artiewolf.
"Well...I did not expect we will meet again..." chuckled Arthur, advancing slowly towards Ophelia, her back bumped against a rock, without any place to run.
