chapter 1

Clio's POV

I wake up with the sun hitting my face through the window. I groan as I sit up on my bed. I hop out of bed and walk into my bathroom rubbing my eyes I look at the mirror to see that my auburn hair is all over the place, it looks as though I have been dragged through a bush.

I strip out of pyjamas and hop into the shower. I stand there for a while soaking in the warmth of the water. After washing my hair and my body  I hop out wrapping my towel around myself.

I rummage through my closet looking for an outfit to wear. Finally I pick out my boyfriend jeans with a red crop top and my old school vans. Once I was dressed I walk into the bathroom once more and apply some mascara. I never really have time to put on a full face of makeup before school. I did some loose curls on my long hair. I grab my bag and phone and make my way downstairs. I walk into the kitchen.

"Hey Mom" I say grabbing myself a pancake smothered in syrup with whipped cream and blueberries.

"Honey Rick is coming over tonight for dinner tonight"

Rick is my moms new boyfriend. Eughh spare me. They make me sick.  But if it makes my mom happy then I guess it can't be so bad. All I know is that he is rich and he has a kid my age.

"Okay  I'm going to go over to Kelsey's after school anyways so you do your thing" I reply in a mood.

Kelsey is my bestfriend she is tall, slim, and has long brunette hair. Her eyes are a deep shade of brown and she has tan skin.

"Actually we'd both like you to be here tonight Clio, Rick is bringing his son over I thought we could all get to know each other"

"Okay bye Mom!"

"Bye sweetie"

I walk out of my house and  got onto my bus.

When the bus stops I get out an walk into the hell hole that is also known as school.

As i walked over to my locker i was greeted my Kelsey.

"Are you still coming over tonight?" she asked

"I can't my mom wants me to meet Rick's son at dinner tonight"

"Its been so long since we last hung out outside of school" she huffed crossing her arms and pouting like a child

"I know I'm sorry, I promise I'll be able to hang out tomorrow night"

The bell rang and we groaned. We made our way towards maths. how fun

The first few periods flew in and before I knew it it was lunch time.

I sat down at our table beside Kelsey.

"NOAH!" I shouted as her stole one of my chips

"I'm hungry" he shrugged.

"then get your own"

"okay" he said taking my chips.  I tried to steal them back but he swatted my hand away.

Noah is my other bestfriend. He's so sweet and very handsome. I'd be dating him if he wasn't gay.

The bell rang and we began to make our way back to class.

"I'll catch up with you guys" I said lifting the books I needed out of my locker.

I turned around and smashed into something hard. I stumbled over and my books scattered over the floor.

"HOLY SHIT" I said looking up and seeing a Kol Hunter with his dark hair and emerald green eyes I could get lost in. He was with his friends Matt and Jonah. They look like fucking greek gods. But they're the biggest players in school

I got up and brushed myself off.

"you should probably watch where you're going princess" he smirked handing me my books.

"Yeah thanks for the tip asswipe" I challenged.

He looked surprised. Matt and Jonah burst out laughing.

"see you around princess" he said still smirking at me.

When I got home I threw myself on my bed and fell asleep.

"Clio Rick is here!" my mom yelled.

I yawned and stretched making my way downstairs.

I walked into the kitchen and saw Rick, my mom and Kol...WAIT WHAT THE FUCK.

"what is he doing here?" I said

"wait you two already know each other?" Rick said

"Clio this is Ricks son Kol and Kol this is my daughter Clio" my mom said.

"Now that we've all been introduced your mom and I have something important to tell you"

"Rick and I have decided that we are going to get married and Rick and Kol will be moving in with us"

We all sat at the dinner table. I still hadn't spoken. I was in shock.

"so tell me how do you two already know each other?" Rick asked.

"unfortunately we go to the same school" I rolled my eyes

"aww don't make it sound so bad, we go way back don't we princess?" he smirked

I gave him a fake smile back and he replied with a wink.

The dinner was finally over and I decided to go get some sleep, my mom said that they would be moving in this weekend so I should probably enjoy my last days of freedom.
