PROLOGUE.

Hola! So this is my first whack of unveiling my novel which I've started working into not sooo long ago, mid year 2013? How bout that? It's not so long ago, is it? Yikes! Hahaha not that I'm lazy, but I'm just dismayed that it's not gonna be popular anyways like Nicholas Sparks' works. Zzzzzzz's But being a constant Wattpad Reader kinda inspired me to partially make my dream come true, so tada! Too much introduction. Let's get this started.

Prologue

SPRING...

A season of growth.

A season of rebirth.

A season of freshness.

A season of hope.

The scent of spring marks the beginning of nature's goodness--- flowers are in bloom, the wind is warmer and light, and everything just seems so alive. Finally, the winter chill has finally passed and here comes the spring to awaken each and everyone to take part in the renewal of life. CHANGE--- a word that comprises everything, it can be good or bad, but one thing is for sure, it's always associated with challenge, and there's no way you can get away with it.

Lily Mae Chua, Sarah Chian and Poppy "Pop" San are all pure Singaporeans while Carrie Garcia and Faye Mendez are both Filipinos. Kale Aleli Yang is just a combination of the group, yes, a half Singaporean and half Filipino. They all came from different universities, except for Carrie and Kale who became classmates when Kale moved back to the Philippines for college.

Lily is 25, the mother-like. She's the most caring in the group. She left her 5-year old baby girl named Bea to her sister, so she could join the internship. Her daughter has always been her source of strength despite of being a single parent for 3 years.

Sarah is 23, the good girl. Her parents died in a car accident when she was 3-year old and was then raised by her protective grandparents. She would rather sleep all day during days-off in their lonely apartment than spend sunbathing in the beach.

Poppy is 22, the happy-go-lucky. Her parents separated when she was young. It was her mother whom she had spent most of her life with. She's the exact opposite of Sarah. She would love to spend her vacant time in the beach to eye-catch hot guys. She is truly supportive in every FUN thing.

Carrie was 21, the dependent. Her family has always been supportive in her decisions. Like Sarah, she would rather spend her days-off in their apartment, except that she could take alcohol in her stomach. For her, work and fun are two different things.

Kale is 21, the carefree. Aside from being pressured by her brother Tim, a lawyer, her long distance relationship for 4 years with her bf Kent who lives in Australia is also something to be worried about. However, she's more focused on sculpting her own life without any of these.

Faye is 20, the sweetest. She's the youngest in their family and the baby girl in their apartment. The interns love her because of being friendly. She easily gets disoriented in their work but the ladies are always guiding her. She spends most of her time with Sarah, her so-called Mamamia.

The ladies are staying in 2 apartments. Lily, Sarah and Faye are together in unit 3 located on the 1st floor while Poppy, Carrie and Kale are in unit 8 located on the 2nd floor. They barely see each other during weekdays, that's why it's good that all of them could be free during Saturdays and Sundays so they could at least be together sometimes. They love to spend their weekends through cooking Asian dishes, biking around the beach, and watching movies in their apartment.

Aside from their 3 coworkers in the boutique, they have also expanded their circle of friends in the beach. One of them is Derik, coworker of Sarah and Faye in Asia's Best, who is also secretly fascinated with Sarah, then Tanya, a receptionist at The Shack, a seafood restaurant in the main street, just 2 blocks away from the Asian restaurant, and of course Samuel, Tanya's forever BFF, who owns the interns' favorite ice cream shop --- Frozen Craze.

Those five months were spent in a normal routine for an average person. Wake up, eat breakfast or mostly brunch, go to work, greet the customers, wear a smile, sign-out, go home, eat, sleep then REPEAT. During days-off, Lily, Poppy and Kale would usually spend their time in the beach while Sarah, Carrie and Faye would spend their time in the apartment with their Wifi. Since they got there, they only went bar hopping twice except for Poppy, the party girl.

They only have one month left in the beach and their internship would be over. They are doing the best that they can to enjoy their last days so they could create good memories that they could bring home with them when it's time to leave.
