To the people who feel bullied by their parents.
First off, I feel you.
If you are anything like me, you are a young person who makes mistakes- A lot. I'm not going to spoon feed you and say the cliche line 'Everything they're doing is for your own good and because they love you.' I mean, let's be real, sometimes the things they say aren't completely helpful. For example, sometimes my mom would say. 'Honestly you take worthlessness to another level.' It hurts because no one wants to be seen as worthless, unnecessary, a waste of space.
It's important to remember that sometimes the behaviour they're displaying is learned. Sometimes from their parents or other relatives. Also, while you may have made a mistake, you're human. It happens. If your parent (or guardian) can't understand this, it's not your fault.
Just remember, while they are telling you how useless and stupid and irresponsible you are, they were kids once and most likely made the same mistakes. So laugh (in your head) at how hypocritical they're being.
