My Next Door Neighbor Joe Sugg

Chapter 20

I woke up and was immediately hit with a pounding headache. I rubbed my head and sat up only to have pain shoot throughout my body. I winced and laid back down on my bed.

All of the memories from last night suddenly flooded my mind. My eyes widened as I looked around my room. My clothes were folded neatly into a pile but I couldn't find any of Joe's clothes. Now that I'm thinking about it, where is Joe?

I looked around, searching for a clue as to where he went. My phone was on my bedstand and I turned it on. A text from Joe was the first thing I saw on my screen.

Joe: Sorry I left so suddenly, I have an emergency meeting at my office. I'll be back as soon as it's over,
Love you! ❤

I smiled as I reread the text. My heart felt warm and fuzzy. I was confused too, one minute Joe's trying to make me suffer and the next he's acting sweet and innocent. I shook my head, Joe wouldn't do that of course.

I decided to finally get up and run myself a hot bath. My body was filled with pain as I got out of bed and slowly walked to the bathroom. I stopped when I saw myself in the mirror. My body was covered in bruises and red marks, especially my neck. I blushed and turned away from the mirror, focusing on my bath instead.

I let the water run steaming hot and filled it up fully. I dropped a cute pink bath bomb and watched it as the water turned foamy and pink. Finally, I sunk myself in and sighed deeply. This is what I needed after such a long night. I relaxed my head back and dropped my shoulders into the hot water, letting my mind wander off.

I was laying on the couch, waiting for Joe to arrive from his meeting. I didn't know what it was about. Honestly, he hasn't told me much other than him being a youtuber. Maybe I should ask him when he comes back.

I wonder if he'll ever ask me out on a date? We've never gone out officially now that I think about it. It would be nice to spend the day with Joe.

The door suddenly opens, interrupting my thoughts. I turn towards the entrance and see Joe striding in with a package in his hands. He smiles at me and hands me the package.

"What's this?" I say and take the package from him. He sits beside me, lifting my legs and placing them on his lap. I hiss and he chuckles, probably fully aware as to why I did that.

"Open it, I want you to have something special from me." He smiled proudly as I ripped the wrapping off and took out a plastic bag.

I opened the bag and pulled out a pink hoodie with the words 'Sugg Life' written on it. There was also a black shirt with the same writing and an iPhone case filled with emojis. I looked at Joe and I could see a slight glimmer in his eyes.

"This is all for me?" I looked at all the stuff and smiled widely at Joe. He nodded his head as I happily hugged the hoodie. Joe reached over for my phone and replaced my current case with the new one he gave me. He showed it off to me and smiled.

"I figured I would give you something after treating you so roughly last night." He smirked and ran a hand through his hair as he teasingly bit his lip.

I blushed and lightly kicked Joe's lap with my leg. "Joe! Stop embarrassing me!"

"I can't embarrass you when it's just us two, love." He stretched out the word 'love' and I hated myself for liking it.

"Well you never know who could be listening in! For all I know, they could already know our whole love story!" I shouted playfully at Joe as he began laughing at my nonsense. He probably thought I was mad for coming up with such a thing.

I leaned back into the couch and stared at Joe as he admired the watch on his wrist. "Yes, love?" He turned his head towards me slightly, keeping his gaze on his watch.

"I was just wondering why we haven't gone out. Like on a date." I fidgeted around with the string on my hoodie. Joe seemed to think for a minute and smiled.

He stopped looking at his watch and turned fully towards me. "Alright, I'll take you out tomorrow. I have a few places in mind." He winked which made me blush.

"Also one more question." I smiled shyly and felt my face heat up. Joe gave me a confused look as he waited for my question. "Why does your act suddenly change?"

He thought for a moment and smirked. "I think there's different times when someone must act certain ways."

My face was still flushed and I could feel myself getting redder. All of his remarks made me blush and I couldn't help myself. I don't know if I'll ever get used to his way of talking.

"By the way, are you feeling alright? You seemed hurt when I moved your legs." Joe smirked as he questioned me. I knew he was doing it to tease me and I scoffed.

"You already know what's wrong. Stop teasing me, Mr. Sugg!" I knew that would grab his attention and I laughed as his eyes widened. His face flushed bright red and he almost seemed to enjoy it.

"Please call me that again." He grabbed my hand tightly as his eyes pleadingly looked at me.

I took his hand away from mine and slapped his hand lightly. "I'm not calling you that again!" Joe laughed as I hid my face with embarrassment.

I couldn't stand his sly remarks and I felt like my face would permanently become red. This man is going to be the death of me. And that's how I want to go.
