When I Lost You, I Lost Myself

Chapter 3

It was around four, and Selena should be here any minute, so I waited behind the check out counter. She usually brings in pizza, but I had a feeling she'd bring in something different.

The door opened, bringing in a cold breeze. She had a few peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in her hand, and a giant smile on her face. She always had one, and I couldn't even seem to smile, but I had a giant one after Harry left.

"What happened today miss smiley?" She threw me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Before I bit into it, I thought I'd tell her what happened.

"So I was alone in the store, you know I sing when I'm alone. Well I was singing and someone pulled the cord out of the wall, making the beat stop. When I looked up it was a total hottie. He said I had a great voice, and his name was Harry. He wanted to hang out tonight, but I have plans with you-"

"Why would you not hang out with the hot kid?! Tay you never go on dates and you should've went" She pushed my shoulder playfully.
"But when he left he said 'see you there Taylor' so he's obviously the cutie you met, right?"
"Brown hair, green eyes, British accent and an extremely cute guy named Harry? Yeah that's the guy I was crushing on" She looked down disappointed.

"Well you can-"
"Tay be quiet! Girl, a guy you like, likes you! I don't need him, he has a cute friend I can hang out with. You can take Harry, he seems like a nice boy that's your type anyway."

I wanted to tell her to have him, but I was crushing hard on this kid, I mean he's hot. I usually don't crush on guys, and I don't want to throw the opportunity away. I may sound selfish, but I wanted to know this boy.
"Alright" I took a bite into my sandwich.

"When are we going ice skating?"
"Seven, but we will go hang out before at like six so you can get with your new bae"
She wiggled her eyebrows.

"He isn't my bae. I don't even know him, and you know I don't-"
"Want a relationship blah blah blah" She mocked me. "Look" She placed her hand on my shoulder

"When you get to know this kid, you'll fall in love"
"Yeah right, I barely even like him" I tried hiding my feelings so Selena wouldn't embarrass me tonight.

"Mhm, that's why you're smiling" She got me there, so I just bit into my sandwich
