Chapter 1: Warzone
March 15 2:30 am
"We need to get to the Lightwood's heads." Valentine hissed and pounded his fist frustratedly on the old table he was sitting at. Sebastian turned to face his father,
"We could make them think we killed a family member, we can use a hologram. We just need to lure one to us and make it look like we killed the person who was the hologram. If it's dark, they won't be able to tell the difference." He suggested.
"That might work, you are a clever young man." Valentine praised his son. Sebastian dipped his head at the praise, he father never praised him.
"What Lightwood should we make a hologram of?" Sebastian asked.
"Maryse. Isabelle should be the one we lure into this trap. She did watch you kill her brother so why not make he watch her 'mother' get killed?" Valentine laughed with scorn. Sebastian nodded in agreement and laughed too.

Isabelle squirmed restlessly next to me on bed, her wigglyness had woken me up. I had the feeling she was getting the flu or some odd sickness. She sat bolt upright in bed, was clutching her stomach, and was sweating but her skin was cool.
"Honey, are you ok?" I asked, concerned. She shook her head, mumbled something unintelligible and stumbled to the bathroom. I followed her knowing something was wrong. She was hunched in a ball in front of the toilet. I sat on my knees next to her and rubbed her back and pulled her hair back when she threw up. I continued to rub her back even when she finally stopped. She was shaking.
"Do you want me to get some water so you can rinse out your mouth?" I asked. She shook her head and stood shakily to her feet, I steadied her and helped her make her way to the counter. She brushed her teeth tiredly. I could tell it took almost every ounce of energy she had to do so. When she finished she looked like she was going to pass out where she stood.
"Do you want me to carry you?" I asked. She nodded and weakly put her arm around my neck. I lifted her up on my arms gently and walked slowly back to our bed. I felt her nuzzle her face into my bare chest, her forehead was cool I knew that wasn't normal. I gently put set her down on the bed and put the covers over her. She was out in seconds. I was debating whether to get Maryse or not for a second but I decided it would be best to let Izzy sleep. I sighed, brushed her hair out of her face and kissed her forehead. He temperature seemed to be back to normal. I walked over to my side of the bed and sunk back into the sheets tiredly and feel asleep.
Three hours later
I awoke to the sounds of birds chirping happily outside and Isabelle's steady breathing. I felt her forehead and it seemed that Izzy's temperature was back to normal. It must have been the 24 hour flu, I thought still slightly worried. Izzy woke up a couple minutes later. Her eyes were bright and focused and her cheeks were delicately flushed. She was the picture of health. I didn't really know what to say.
"Good morning?" I said. She frowned,
"You said that like a question, is something wrong?"
"You did get sick last night right?" I asked to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
"Yeah, Why?"
"Do you feel ok now?"
"Simon, what in the angels name is wrong?" Izzy demanded.
"Please answer my question, do you feel ok?"
