Chapter Two

"A-Amnesia?"

Ruth stared at his friend, Jerri. "Well, the medical term is Retrograde Amnesia." Doctor Jeremiah Del Carmen clarified. "It's quite common with people who have sustained head injuries or have suffered from something traumatic leading up to an accident."

So that's explained why the woman inside the suite was mistaken him as her husband. "How long does this amnesia last?" He was planning everything but not this time. He hadn't planned to be in this situation.

Jerri tapped his shoulder. "It can last anywhere from hours, days or weeks. This case is very selective, and there's usually a full recovery in time." Napaisip siya. Mrs. Zaragoza claimed him as Trey Zaragoza was it a good thing that the unwanted wife of the respectable young congressman is in his welfare now? "I know you thinking a ridiculous thing again, Rosales." Jerri disturbing voice.

"Well, I think I'm lucky, thou." He smirked.

"Spare the wife. Wala kang mapapala sa kanya." Jerri reminding him. "I heard, bumalik lang 'yan dito sa pilipinas para makipag annul sa asawa niya. You better stop playing with her mind. Sa ngayon, namistaken ka niya. But soon when she fully regained her memory. Baka maging mitsa pa yan ng bago mong problema."

"No problem that I cannot handle. And you know that, Jerri." He confidently said.

He saw her at the arrival area sa NAIA kahapon ng umaga. Nang araw ding 'yon ay palabas ng bansa ang PI na inutusan niya para puntahan ito. He has do many questions that he assumed, that Mrs. Zaragoza might answer those. Mula sa pinagkukublihan niya ay nakita niyang tinakbuha nito ang PI na inutusan niya. She was crossing the road at pumara ng taxi. Tinakbo niya ito at hinabol. Mabilis itong sumakay ng taxi. Palabas palang ng airport when he saw that the taxi was hit by another car.

Mabilis na rumesponde ang mga security personnel. He made his way to the crashed car and helped the paramedics to pull out the passenger and driver inside. Nakita niyang nakamulat pa ang mga mata ng babae when he saw her.

Kaya siguro naipagkamali siya ng babae sa asawa nito. Pero magkagayonman, It's good for him. Sasamantalahin niya ang oras na ito to take his revenge. Eye to eye. Tooth to tooth.

"I'm warning you, Rosales. Spare the woman and let her go. Hayaan mong makuha niya ang gusto niya kay Congressman and let her back to California." Ani ng kaibigan niya.

"I wouldn't be in this place, kung hindi ang naaayon sa gusto ko ang mangyayari. Have you heard what she'd call me earlier? Tinawag niya akong Trey. " He laughed.

"Because she lost some of her memories," Jerri explained. "You better leave her alone. Baka malaman ni Congressman ito."

He gritted his teeth. "I don't care. I will make him pay."

"Abogado ka. There's a law na nababatay sa sinasabi mo. Why don't you let him to get in prison?"

"Imprisonment is very easy for him. Kaya niyang mamuhay sa bilangguan na para bang nasa bahay lang kung sakaling maipakulong ko siya. I want to see him suffer, Just like how we suffered when Julie died. Yung paghihirap na hihilingin nalang niyang mamatay." He is not an evil. He is not a demon. At hindi siya kasing demonyo gaya ng taong kinasusuklaman niya. Naging ganito lang siya dahil ganito ang ginawa sa kanya.

"I understand. But the wife here is innocent!" Jerri pointed him. "Ang sabi mo nga, she's the unwanted wife. How will you going to use her kung wala naman palang pakialam ang sarili niyang asawa sa kanya."

"Trey marry this woman para sa nalalapit niyang panibagong kandidatura. He wants to have a place in senate court. Balak tumakbong senador ni Zaragoza sa darating na taon. And one thing for sure, he will be needed his wife for his benefits---again." Hindi makakaligtas sa kanya ang mga ganoong inpormasyon. He is not, Attorney Ruth Rosales if he is bad in seeking dark secrets.

Jerri shook his head. "Pinapaalalahanan lang kita. Hindi basta gulo ang gusto mong pasukin."

"Don't worry about me. I'm ready for this battle."
