Introduction
It was a warm summer day, July 27th 2011 and I hadn't been out once this summer. I was locked up in my room the whole Summer; sleeping, eating and of course writing. It was a dream of mine to become a successful author such as Charles Dickinson,he was my role model.
I was extremely fascinated in writing stories and I also had. great love for poetry. I was basically the odd one out in the family, but it didn't bother me.
I wish I was writing stories with him right now rather than being stuck in my boring old room.
well,I'll tell you why I'm in my room, not out playing or texting like any other teenage girl, well it's because first of all I haven't got a phone.
My mum won't let me have a phone until I'm at least 15,and second of all,i can't make friends,I'm too shy,I'm nothing like my sister Shannon.
She's outgoing,pretty and confident,unlike me I'm boring,ugly and shy.
she always has things to do,whereas I'm stuck in my room doing absolutely nothing.
I have one friend and that's a six year old girl named Bonnie, three doors down. She is pretty fun to play with, she's really into exploring and I kind of have fun when we pretend to be explorers and go up the fields.
Then suddenly I heard a knock on my door.
"Who is it?" I questioned
But instead of an answer my sister Shannon just burst threw the door.
"Breakfast!" she shouted,"and you may hurry because Michael is there!"
Then she left the room in silence.
I hated breakfast, I hated every family meal, because of my stepfather(I don't think of him as a father at all).I hate him!
I don't understand why my mum, likes him,he makes her do everything!
She would do anything for him,she pays his bills, does his washing and cooks for him. Well I know all mothers do this but. don't think he deserves any sort of treatment.
I got my slippers on,went downstairs and into the kitchen As to find my sister Shannon, mum and my stepfather in the kitchen, in complete silence.
My mother breaks the silence.
"We're going out for dinner at the New fancy restaurant down town, so I expect you to be on your best behavior!" mum said sternly.
"Oh and your auntie Deborah and Rochelle will be there with your cousins Lucy and Rosie,"replied Michael.
"Not Lucy and Rosie!" I sighed.
"Be nice Meg,we need to respect your father's side of the family!" mum snapped.
"Don't call me Meg, I hate that name!"
"Don't speak to your mother like that Megan!" Michael shouted.
"You've got a cheek, you make her do everything for you, and if she doesn't do it you start shouting and make her do it!"I replied to him.
I was shocked at my attitude, I would never speak to anyone like that, especially Michael!
Michael gob smacked replied,"Get to your room now you'd lady!"
"You're not the boss of me,cause your not my dad!" I shouted back to him.
"I'm glad I am not, you little brat!"he said, and after that I went upstairs. Without anything to eat.
Tears started to drip,I wasn't crying,was I? I wasn't scared of Michael,well I am, a little.
I could hear mum and Michael shouting at each other, mum was sticking up for me but eventually gave up because no one could defeat Michael, well not me or my mother anyway.
My mum could do far better than Michael, she was handling it quite well when my dad left. I don't want Michael or my dad,I hate them both!
My dad left me when I was 5 months old. He wasn't much help anyway, he was in and out of prison, then one day he told us he was going for a walk but he never came back.
I'm quite jealous of Shannon because she gets to stay in her dad's at the weekends and he takes her out to the coolest places In town.
I met him one time and can honestly say he's really nice,I wish he was my dad. I see the way he treats Shannon and think to myself how lucky she is.
