life has changed, and definitely not for the better.
and folks, it's not just because of the zombies.

august 21st, 2017 . . .

That's when it all began. One solar eclipse. Then, the whole world unnaturally darkened and the apocalypse began. Countries were ravaged and societal structures were torn down, as billions lost their lives to the virus, Briggs-Holloway (named for the scientists that curated the first form of it).

The tenacity and stubbornness of humanity pulled them through, and a little over 20 years later, remaining communities established safety guidelines, and relief groups and efforts made it possible for "sanctuary cities" to be created.

While society returns to as close to normalcy as can be achieved, deeper problems run through in the form of extreme censorship in the media. As a result, groups of underground freelance video bloggers, journalists, and artists emerged, with the sole purpose of spreading uncensored events to anyone who wants to listen.

The journalists need to work secretly, as it seems that if they're found out by the government, then they are... disposed of.

For Lucas Barrett and his friends, staying anonymous will become twice as hard, as secrets about the virus begin to come to light.
