So What?!

What does any of this have to do with me?

You see, this death was not without reason. But first, we need to go back to the beginning. God created everything, and he called it good. It was perfect. No pain, no conflicts, no nothing like that. But along came Satan, who tempted the people. And they gave in. And sin, wrongdoing, entered the world. Perfection vanished. From then on, everyone sinned. They had all fallen short and could not be with God anymore. And we had to pay for what we've done. Although some tried, no one could save themselves from the sin that separates us from God and condemns us. We needed a Savior. That's where Jesus comes in. God promised that someone would come to bridge that gap. Jesus is that person.

In the last chapter, I neglected to mention that Jesus the only one who ever lived a perfect life. One without sin. Jesus had no price of his own to pay.

That's unfair! Why'd he die?

His death was all part of a master plan to give everyone a chance to have no price to pay. Since he was guiltless, he could take our place and pay our price.
You see, we all deserve that punishment for what we've done. On the cross, Jesus took the sins of everyone onto himself and took the punishment. This is so that we can be forgiven and reconnected with God.

Hold up! You're going a little fast here!

I get that. I am trying not to, but it might be easier if you send me questions in pm so I can answer specifically, but I'm trying my best right now. Here is a recap with (hopefully) easier to understand word choice.
We've all done wrong, and that separates us from God. But God sent Jesus, the only perfect person, to take our sins upon himself, so that we no longer are separated from God and are forgiven.
And it gets better! Not only are we reconnected with God, he loves us and wants us to be in a relationship with him. He wants you to talk with him, tell him what's on your mind, through prayer. And at the end of time, those who have put their trust in him will live eternally in a new, perfect world.
The resurrection of Jesus is to show us that he has defeated death, that we no longer have to worry about death because it was no match for him.

I'm probably being really redundant here, but I think is important that every reader can understand What this is all about. Sin is like dirt. We all are dirty. And the dirt separates us from God. But, since God loves us, he wanted to give us a way to be cleansed of the dirt sin leaves so that we could be with him. So he sent Jesus to die because his blood is the only way we can be cleaned. And once we're cleaned, we can be with God.

What do I do if I believe this?

I'd say scroll to the next chapter! And then read what it says... Not just scroll to it... Because that doesn't do anything... See ya
