Chapter 24 Pine Trees

Molly was now 5 years old, Brennan was 7.5. It was the winter time, and Regina and Killian took the kids to look for a Christmas tree. It wasn't too cold, even though there was snow on the ground. Regina and Killian sort of dressed alike, leather jackets, which was pretty normal given they had been by each other's side for 25 years almost now.

Molly had a cute little outfit on, and her pink soft coat, Brennan had a blue wool coat on, and both had cute hats on. "Molly come on!!" Brennan ran ahead, their parents trailed behind going through the trees, taking in all the scenery, and seeing the kids so happy bouncing around. Molly was in Kindergarten, so Killian was now back to working without kids in the pastry shop until after 2:30. It was leading up to Christmas, so his pastry business was extremely busy. The kids had a week left of school before their holiday break. 

Molly was at Regina's desk, coloring, festive pictures, Regina was on a phone call, trying to get people's holiday orders guaranteed for Christmas. Brennan came in with some cocoa, from the cook, it wasn't too hot for him and he placed the cup down on the desk. "Brennan!!!!!" Molly screamed, as the cocoa spilled all over her drawing and the desk.

"Oh bloody hell! No no, not you, can I call you back?" Regina asked the person on the phone call, and he hung up, "Mommy!!!" Molly yelled, "Ok, you calm down, Miss Drama," Regina said picking up what was under the cocoa, "I didn't mean to!" Brennan said, "Ok, it was an accident," Regina  said, "Mommy!!!" Molly got really upset about this whole thing, and started to cry, "Oh sweetheart come on," Regina sighed and picked her up, "I know I know," she said, "Mommy!! He wrecked it!" Molly cried, "I know, it's ok," Regina said calmly to her, "It was for Santa !!" Molly cried to him, "Sweetheart, we have time to make a new one for Santa," she said.

Regina got the mess cleaned up and was able to calm Molly down a bit, of course she gave her a cookie, to help with that. She put her down, "Ok you two, just play nicely and quietly so Mommy can get this done, Daddy will be here very soon," Regina said. In a little bit, Killian came in, "Hey you two," he said. "Hey, how is my favorite Elf?" Regina asked giving him a kiss, "Good," he winked, he had gone to get some gifts for the kids. "Was I good this year?" Regina asked, "You'll find out," he smirked at her. "Daddy Daddy," Molly interrupted before Killian could say a sexy reply.

"Yes baby," Killian picked her up, and the two kids got ready to go with him. "I'll be home, hopefully in time for dinner," Regina sighed, "Let's hope so, I'm dessert," he whispered, "Oh," she winked at him, and kissed, and kissed Molly who held onto Killian. "Daddy, Brennan wrecked my picture," Molly said, "Oh, ok, we will make one," Killian said. "I didn't," Brennan said, "See you later," Killian kissed Brennan's head and they left Regina to finish work.

At 7 pm, Regina drove up, Molly went sprinting to the door, in her little soft princess slippers and nightgown, "Mommy!!!!" Molly squealed as she came in the door, "Hi you," Regina picked her up, and sighed, even after long days, she just adored having her little ones in her arms. "Mom!" Brennan came out to her, also in slippers in pajamas, "Hey you," Regina pat his head, Molly clasped her hands around her neck and just snuggled to her.

The tree was near the fireplace, Killian had the lights on it, "Daddy said we can put ornaments on, when you got here," Brennan said, "Ok, little bit before bed," Regina said. "I do angel!!" Molly said, "Ok ok," Killian smiled, Regina brought him some tea, "Mmm, thank you, still wearing that red surprise?" Killian asked, with a sly grin, "Oh yeah," she smiled aback at him. Killian picked up Molly over his head holding the Angel for the top of the tree, and she got it on top, "Yay!" Regina said cutely and Brennan plugged in the tree and it lit up the whole room.

"Hello!!" Mary Margaret came in the door, "Auntie M!!" Molly said, as she called her, running to her. It was getting close to their bedtime, but they didn't have school anymore, so Killian and Regina let it slide, "Cookies!!" Molly said, "Oh no, no no," Killian shook his head, "Yes," Molly stamped, "She's quite persuasive," David said, "No she isn't, no cookie, it's past bedtime, no sugar," Killian said. "Yes!" Molly sassed at him, "Uh oh," Regina said. "You need to go to bed then," Killian picked her up, "No!! No !!" Molly whined at him, "Oh hush, say goodnight to Uncle David and Auntie M," Killian said holding her. 

"Mama," Molly whined, as Regina kissed her, "Your brother is going to bed too," Regina said, "What?" Brennan asked, "No, it's time for bed, you can stay up super late on Christmas," Regina said, "Why not Christmas eve?" Brennan asked, "Santa Silly!!" Molly said, giggling, "Mmm," Killian tickled Molly's cheek with his scruff, and carried her upstairs.

Christmas Eve, Brennan and Molly are sitting cutely by the tree, there's a fair amount of presents under it, and they are snooping, "Hey you two, I see you," Regina said, "Just looking," Brennan said, "Mmm," Regina said. Killian came in the door, he had to work until 3 pm, but now was off until New Years. "Daddy!!!" Molly was so excited to see him, it meant they could open a present, "Well Hi Santa's helpers," Killian said. "Daddy can we ??" Brennan asked, "Yes yes," Killian said taking his coat off. "Hey sexy candy cane," Killian smirked at Regina, "You're the candy cane," Regina said. "Mmm," he winked and kissed her cheek, "Woah woah, just one," Regina said as the kids were moving presents around.

The kids opened a gift each, Molly got a cute little pretty princess game, which she of course convinced Killian to play, "Oh babe, the tiara is working for you," Regina teased, "I know," Killian smirked at her, Brennan got a car set that had remote control, he was driving it around everywhere. Regina plopped next to Killian, he put the play crown on Regina, and kissed her head, "My queen, that's what my father called my mum," Killian said, "I remember," Regina said.

"Ok you two, bedtime, so Santa can come and spoil you, and of course your Aunts and Uncle are coming tomorrow, and everyone," Killian said, "Daddy the story," Molly said in his arms, "How does it go?" Killian asked playfully, "Twas the ..." Regina helped, "Night before Christmas," Molly said, "And all through the house," Brennan said, "Not a creature was stirring," Killian said, "Not even.. a.." Regina said, "Mouse!!" Molly said as Killian tickled her little cheek.

"I really hate this growing thing," Regina said, "We enjoyed growing, remember when discovered we liked each other more than friends?" Killian asked, "And you kissed me," Regina said, "You kissed me first love, you made me close my eyes," Killian said.

"Yeah well," She laughed. "They'll wake us at 5 am," Killian said, "Mm, then we'll try and keep this a silent night," She said taking off her top, showing a holly berry bra, "Oh Merry Christmas to me," Killian smirked with his wife straddling him, and he reached his hands up to squeeze her chest, and she moved downward to kiss him.
