I had ran
I don't even know why I snapped now
But I ran
Faster and Faster
The snapping of small twigs under my feet, The weight of the bag I was carrying seemed to become heavier with each step I took.
The wind rushing through my ears made me deaf to him calling out my name.
How could he do this? My own? I loved him to the deepest depths and all he could do was this?
I kept running, I didn't know if he was following me or not, but I didn't care to stop now.
Snap Snap Snap
Twigs and dead branches snapped beneath my feet. Leaves did more than rustle under my feet as I stopped by, still running from my life.
I knew where to go, where to turn. I had done this to someone more than once and knew that I was going to permanently stay where I was going.
The diminishing light showed that dusk was soon turning to dark. And with that, my sight was going. My legs began to scream in pain, and my lungs were protesting against my still quickened run. My body was aching everywhere from how long I had been running. I wasn't going to stop until I got there, and I knew I had a hell of a way to go. So I pushed through and kept going.
It wasn't until I got close that I was starting to really regret not walking or taking a break. I could see the light in the distance, and knew that I was finally going to get there, and held in a warm embrace and wrap myself up by the fire.
My vision was starting to sway, and I had pushed myself further than I could have gone. My steps became heavier, the bag on my back not helping in getting me there faster.
The light was becoming brighter, and I was approaching it still.
I saw someone open and walk out onto the front porch, calling out my name. I knew they would be able to sense me.
I kept running, knowing if I stopped now I would collapse.
I reached the clearing, my feet still carrying me, yet screaming at me to stop. But I wouldn't, not until I was in his arms.
My brain started to shut my body down, exhaustion finally punching me in the gut, winding me and rendering me motionless. I started to fall, heading for a rock on the ground, but before I hit it, his warm arms caught me and yanked me up in a panic.
Tingles swarming throughout where he was touching me. Warmth and safety secured itself around me, my mate holding me in his arms calling my name. I looked up at his face, full of concern and panic, as he picked me up and ran me into the house
"Alex!" he called. I couldn't reply from my running wearing out my lungs. I reached into my pocket, handing him the piece of paper that had my explanation as to what was happening with me. He quickly read it and then hugged me, Nussling into my neck, breathing in my scent that he so dearly loved.
I saw his tear stained face and a smile. He was so happy that I chose him over my old life.
I had only met him months ago and he wormed his way into my heart, and I couldn't be happier.
I started to black out, and before I did, The most beautiful words were uttered to me.
"I love you, Alex"

So, what did you think? First one Could use some work, but overall, Cute. Now, yes, this was a kind of werewolf thing with the whole 'Mate' aspect involved, but hey, gotta start somewhere...right?
