#171 you're concerned about the way his daughter acts towards him

Your POV

Me and my husband of 10 years, Niall have 2 children together. A 6 year old son, Ethan and a 1 year old daughter, Isabelle. However, Niall has 3 children. He also has a 14 year old daughter, named Aaliyah.
Her mother left Niall and her as soon as she was born. I met Niall when Aaliyah was around 4 months old and we have been together since she was around 1 years old. She knows I'm not her mother though but she still chooses to call me mum.

Recently, I've been quite concerned about Niall and Aaliyah's relationship.

They are both extremely close, Aaliyah is a huge daddy's girl, and Isabelle is too.

But Aaliyah, still calls Niall daddy, she still cuddles with him and he still babies her.

Aaliyah and Ethan were both at school so it was just me,Niall and Isabelle at home.

Isabelle was on Niall's lap and he had one arm wrapped around her. I was sat next to him.

"Nialler? Can I talk to you about Aaliyah?" I asked .
"Sure" Niall said looking at me.
He placed Isabelle down on the floor so she could crawl around and play with her toys.

"Please don't hate me or anything for this but don't you think it's strange how she still calls you daddy and cuddled with you a lot, I understand hugging and things but she physically lies on your chest. And you baby her a lot, maybe not in public but you definitely do it in the house. "He explained.
"It's never bothered me because she's called me daddy for the last 13 years and I love cuddling with her and spending time with her but" he said.
"Do you want to know why I Baby her?" He sighed and I nodded.

"It's just, well you know she's my first baby, my oldest baby, she's 14 now and I want to stay as close with her as possible. She's just growing up and I want to keep a close bond with her.
I love her so much, and I can't let us drift apart . I read all the time about dad's who used to be extremely close with their daughters and then as soon as the daughter hits her teenage years they drift apart and I don't want that to happen"  He explained.
I looked at him.

"Aww Nialler, she loves you too, she always has and always will. I know for a fact you and Aaliyah will never drift apart! She's a daddy's girl and you know it! I've never seen a daddy daughter relationship as perfect as yours and Aaliyah's. she looks up to you so much! You have nothing to worry about, she may be growing up and becoming a woman but she'll always find time for her dad, no matter what happens!" I told him.
He smiled and hugged me.

"Thanks for being there for her y/n, and thanks for completing my family. You have given me a little boy and another daughter and I hope Aaliyah and Isabelle grow up to be at least half the person you are" he said and I smiled kissing his cheek.
