{KIAN'S POV}

"Do you ever just want to forget everything thats wrong with you? Forget the world? Be nobody for a while?" Avery looked at me.

"No." I responded.

She gave me a confused look.

"I would miss it. I would miss the sun blowing through my hair. The obnoxious kids that scream as they run down the street. Music. Making a fool of myself and joking around with my friends. You. Wouldn't you miss it?" I slid my right hand closer to hers.

"No. I hate the obnoxious kids that scream as they come down the street. The wind that blows my hair all over the place. Embarrassing myself. Theres only one reason why I would stay."

In a matter of seconds Trevor slid between us.

"Hey guys whatcha talkin' about?" He looked at me then Avery.

"Stuff." She stared at the sunset.

"Last one to the water sucks." I got up and ran towards the water.

Trevor followed behind.

{AVERY'S POV}

Jamie sat next to me.

"Lets be serious. What were you talking about?" She asked me.

"I asked him if he wanted to forget the world. He said no. Theres one reason why I would stay." I answered.

"Aww I love you too!" She hugged me.

"Not you." I pushed her away and stared at all the guys in the water.

"You know the whole 'I love you too!' thing....yeah it was a joke." She nudged me.

"Jamie I love you but you aren't the reason why."

"You know the thing about me saying 'I don't love you.' I was kidding." She rubbed my arm.

"You're pathetic. I hope you know that." I glared at her then back to the water.

"So if it's not me then who is it?"

"Who said it was a person?" I looked at her.

"It's Kian!! Oh my god it's Kian!" She freaked out.

"Good guess but no and if you did guess right I still wouldn't tell you." I stood up.

I ran towards the guys.

{JAMIE'S POV}

Avery joined all the boys. I sat in the sand thinking.

"Avery!" They all screamed in the distance.

Ever since he started talking to her she's changed. It wasn't the same Avery I knew over the course of the year. She was different.

I'm happy to see she's doing better than she was and that she's a lot happier.

I ran inside and grabbed a beach ball. I came back out and threw it at Ricky's head.

"Hey!" He shouted at me.

"Are you having fun without me?!" I questioned.

"Who could forget miss Jamie?" He laughed.

{AVERY'S POV}

"Here put these on." Kian gave me a pair of goggles.

"Why?" I took them from his hand.

"Just do it. I want to show you something." He smiled.

I did as he said and put them on. We swam a little farther out.

"Deep breath 1-2-" He took a breath as did I.
