Chapter I

Ang ganda tignan ng hourglass diba? Every bit of sand na nahuhulog ay nagsisimbolize nang time na dumadaan habang pinagmamasdan mo to. Kaso when every sand has dropped to the other part, it means that time is already up. Game over ika-nga. My love was based on an hourglass. Time pressured, challenging but also exciting.

Umupo ako sa pinakalikuran ng classroom. I just hate the noise. I hate the crowd. I hate everything that's around me. I know that a lot of people hate me but I can't blame them cause I also hate myself. I put on my headphones and hit the play button then loud music began to play. I did that cause someone announced na magstastart na ang class. Another boring day *sigh* Malapit ako sa window kaya pinagmasdan ko na lang ang quadrangle kasi nasa third floor naman ang classroom ko. May nakanakaw ng pansin ko sa ibaba. Para bang may taong tila ba kinakawayan ako. Hindi ko naman pinansin kasi tingin ko naman na na malikmata lang ako. Ten minutes after non may kumalabit sa akin.

"Ano ba?! Leave me alone" I said angrily without looking. Kinalabit pa niya ako kaya tumungin ako sa likod ko sabay sabing "Ano ba problema mo?! Hindi mo ba nakikita na busy yung tao?!"

Nagulat siya sa reaksyon ko kaya kinuha niya ang headphones ko. "Hindi mo naman kailangang sumigaw miss. Sasabihin ko lang naman sanang tatabi ako sayo kasi new seat mate mo na ako." Pagkatapos niyang sabihin yun nagsisi bulungan ang mga girls sa classroom pero yung iba naman ang lakas ng boses. Narinig ko pa ngang may nagsabi ng,"Tignan mo nga si Rose. Ang taray talaga kahit transfer student pinagtatarayan. Walang pili talaga. Sus!"

Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay sabay sabing,"Do what you like. Like I care and give me my headphones back."

In my surprise he stretched out the hand that was holding the headphones on top of his head dahilan ng hindi ko pag abot sa headphones. Matangkad siya kaya nahirapan akong agawin ang headphones ko kaya tumayo ako. "HEY!" Sigaw ko.

"Kiss mo muna ako bago ko ibigay tong headphones." Sabi niya with an evil grin. Lahat ng tao sa classroom natahimik. Tila ba nag aabang sa susunod na magaganap.

Uhhhh. . . "EXCUSE ME?!" Mas tinaasan ko pa ang kilay ko.

"You heard me." Sabi niya his grin widening that it almost reached his ears

"Yeah, I heard you all right. The thing that I missed was the sarcasm in your joke."

"First, it was no joke and second there wasn't any sarcasm in it. I'm serious."

"If you're looking for someone to flirt with, I'm sorry to say that you just took the wrong pick. Now my business with you is over so hand over my headphones."

"That's a scary threat little princess. Can you say please first? I'm sure you know how to do so right? Ohh. . And pout your lips after saying that. Also before I forget, that also comes with a kiss."

Shocked I said,"D*mn you. Stop playing and give it to me."

"What? The kiss? Oh I'll gladly give it to you. You need not to ask." He said and winked. "I'll make sure to melt that cold ice which is surrounding you my dear little princess. I'll be the warmth that you need, the fire in your hearth during your cold winter."

"First a pervert and now an overconfident poet." I rolled my eyes as my irritation increased. Nang parang ibababa na niya ang kamay niya tumalon ako para makuha ko to pero na off balance ako buti na lang at nasalo niya ako.

"Oppsss. Careful little princess. I don't wanna hurt you. I'm supposed to protect you. But never fear my little princess cause I'll catch you whenever you fall and carry you whenever you stumble."

I blushed after hearing that so I quickly straightened up. After Composing myself I said, "Ha! Like that would happen."

"First a blushing little princess and now a dignified queen. You amaze me Rose. You just peaked my interest." He said as he closed the distance between us until we were just inches apart, his shirt touching mine. Sinabit niya ang headphones ko sa neck niya. Kukunin ko na sana yun kaso bigla akong napatigil ng sinabi niyang,"I could make that happen."
