The moon, the stars, the sky, the sun have fascinated people for years. People often described one another as the moon to their sun or vice versa because the love story between the moon and the sun is a sweet one. They each played big roles in the galaxy. The Sun was bestowed the role of giving light and warmth to the world. The Moon was given the role of orbiting a planet called Earth where the Sun had given it just enough warmth that life was able to live there. With the power of the Moon waves were created, it helped the Earth's rotation around the Sun, and it helped with the rotation speed of the Earth.
As the Earth orbited around the Sun day and night became established. Day was the time when Sun gave the most warmth and the life on the Earth could flourish. Night was the time of rest and relaxation.
Over time the Moon and the Sun fell for eachother. The Sun was intrigued by the Moon because they were quiet, mysterious, and reflected the light provided from the Sun to the people of the Earth while most of them were sleeping. The Moon admired the exuberant nature of the Sun and giving nature of them.
It was a secret between the Earth and the Moon that the Sun's rays were actual rays of love. The Sun probably didn't know it but the warmth it admitted was from their own heart and it was sent to everyone who orbited them. The Moon felt blessed to even reflect the smallest amount of this love to to the precious life of Earth.
After hundreds of years passed the Moon realized a specific species called humans started worshiping the Sun and the Moon alike creating stories and gods/goddesses based on them. Honored the Moon decided to give them different phases to theorize and watch. In all reality it was also a gift to the Moon as well for all the light it didn't reflect for the life on Earth was stored for the Moon.
The Sun ever overflowing love and joy saw this and thought it was the cutest thing ever to be seen. However the Sun was forever stationary in the middle of the planets and the Moon forever to orbit around Earth. So instead the focused their energy on the beloved life that existed on Earth.
However they made a deal with the Earth and life that dwelled there. Every once in awhile they would have an Eclipse. There was both Solar and Lunar Eclipses, both were intimate yet innocent acts of love. The Lunar Eclipse allowed the Moon to hide behind the Earth just for a brief time allowing them to recharge its energy before taking on its role in the universe. The Sun being the extrovert in the relationship knew of the Moon's introversion. They knew a break was needed and insisted on the Lunar Eclipse existing. The Moon hesitantly agreed. The Solar Eclipse was the opposite in a way. The Solar Eclipse allowed the Moon to absorb all the rays of the sun for a few minutes before they go their separate ways.
The moments in a Solar Eclipse were described as innocently intimate. These moments were the ones the Sun and the Moon looked forward to. To see each other for a few minutes and share the warmth and love that reflected off one another. They were honored that so many people wanted to watch the exchange and marked it on their calendars as an event for all to see. To them this was love worth fighting for. To them this love was worth sharing. To them it was worth living for.
Honestly I had no idea I would be so excited to write a ship between the Moon and the Sun! But if it turned out well it was totally worth it! I actually watched the eclipse with some friends! It was totally wonderful and I wouldn't change it for the world! Any who this story was inspired by something Thomas Sanders said in his Instagram/Snapchat story. "We just experienced an intimate moment between the moon and the sun." I don't know how it spiraled into this but I think it is totally adorable! Anyway beloved people of this Earth I must be off! I hope you enjoyed it! Let me know what you thought and did you watch the Solar Eclipse? I am so curious so I would love to know! Stay safe, stay positive, and stay determined! Love ya! Bye! <3
