Bess decided to invite Rusty over for dinner so Cyrus could meet him and see that he was nice person. She called Rusty and told him to come over he was gonna meet of the family not just Cyrus.

"Rusty I want you to come over and meet the rest of the kids so they get to know you."

"I'd love that baby."

"I want my youngest son to meet you because he not really down with the idea of us getting married."

"I understand I want everyone to be cool with this marriage. When do you want me come over."

"6 would be cool. Can’t wait to see you."

"Me either." Now she had to tell her kids that he was coming to dinner. She would tell them on the way home from school. As she getting breakfast Bo came up to her.

"Mama I heard you’re gonna get married again. I’m glad for you I want you be happy." He hugged her giving her kiss on the cheek before sitting down to breakfast.

"Thank you. I’m bringing over Rusty for dinner so Ana and Cyrus can get to know him and feel better about this wedding."

"He still thinks you and dad are gonna get back together."

"Yeah but I have a feeling Ana talked to him and know now that’s won’t happen." Bess loved the fact Bo looked out for his family he walked upstairs to talk to his brother before school. After school when she picked them up Bess got to talking.

"We need to talk."

"About what mama."

"I invited Rusty over for dinner so you and Ana can get to know him." she could tell Cyrus wasn't cool with it but he would do it for her.

"That sounds great can't wait to meet him."

"I'm glad you’re giving this a chance it means a lot to me." For the rest of the ride home it was quiet. She asked Bo to watch the kids so she could run to the store and pick up some stuff. While she was gone the two boys talked some more.

"Bo tell me honestly do you think dad still cares about us."

"Yeah he does of course."

"There’s not way he'll get back together with mama."

"No she was unhappy and other things happened that you’re too young to know about. You’ll like this guy he like daddy and he really loves mama."

"Bo all this makes me upset and it hard to glad for mama when I want this be like before."

"I understand but you have to be big boy and suck it up. Mama wouldn't be doing this if she wasn't in love and sure about this." He hugged Bo he understood it all but still wasn’t sure. Later that night Rusty came over and met the kids. At dinner it seemed like Cyrus was getting along with Rusty which made Bess happy. After dinner Rusty asked Cyrus if they could watch tv together. They sat on the couch and put on Ben 10.

"Listen Cyrus I'm not trying to come between you and your dad but I just want to you I’ll be there for you if need someone to talk to."

"I appreciate it. I'm glad I get to know you. You seem like a nice person. I'm glad my mama found you and fell for you."

"I know this is a hard time for you but I'll try to easy to for you." Talking to him made things better and he started to like to him and didn't feel mad at him at all for taking his mom away. After Cyrus got into his tv show Rusty went to talk to Bo.

"Hey Bo how are you tonight."

"I'm good thanks."

"So what you think about me being the new man your mom's life." all Bo could think was I've been the man of the house for years and taking care of her. now he comes out the blue and wants take over. he also wanted to make sure he wasn't gonna treat her badly. he just shook his hand smiling at him.
