IT started like any other day in the world. It was the beginning of summer at the time and surprisingly, I was extremely bored despite the fact that I live right next to the town pool. I never liked the pool. It was usually too crowded to have much fun.

I had finished reading the box set of Warriors books that I had gotten for my birthday, so I decided to pop by the library to pick something else up so I wasn't completely bored over the next week.

I walked outside wearing a pair of dirty Converse that had been ruined by mud (It rained a lot before summer). After mounting my bike that was nicknamed "Speedy Gonzalez" and making the treacherous ride of 5 blocks to reach the library, I pulled up the bike rack and simply chained ol' Speedy up.

I pulled my bulky leather wallet from my pocket. It held my library card, so I yanked out the card before putting the wallet back into my pocket. I entered the library, cool air hitting my face as the doors swung open. I immediately walked toward the classic novels. I needed something huge to keep me busy.

There was another boy about my age looking in that section as well. He was just an inch or two shorter than me. His brown eyes were a deep ocean in comparison to my bold green eyes. He had blonde hair which was quite a step away from my jet black hair. He was wearing an Overwatch t-shirt and patched jeans.

I liked OverWatch as well. My main was Reaper, but a bit of Roadhog mixed in with that. I wanted to talk. Badly. Maybe he went to my school. It was a stretch, but I gathered my courage from my gut and tapped his shoulder, trying to be discrete. He turned around, his face cherry red as our eyes locked.

"Hey, I noticed your shirt. Do you play OverWatch as well?" I asked, moving a piece of my hair from my face. He nodded timidly and proceeded to explain to me that he mained Mercy and Junkrat.

After OverWatch talk and exchanging our users with each other, he actually started cracking jokes. After a few terrible puns, he asked me something.

"Hey, what's your name? I never managed to catch it." The blonde individual asked me curiously.

"Joshua Groves. And your's is..?" I asked in response to male's remark.

"Well, Gregg now, but I'm changing it to Yuuri towards the end of this summer. So, just call me Yuuri. Yuuri Thornton." He sheepishly smiled, rubbing the back of his head. I nodded and watched as Yuuri looked down at his watch.

"Aw, dang. Wish I could chat a little more, but I've gotta go. My dad needs me back by 3:00 P.M. and it's 2:45. I'll see ya around, Josh." He beamed, handing me a small slip of paper as he made his quick exit.

As he left the building with stealth, books under his arm, I examined the small paper he handed me. There was nothing peculiar about the paper. It looked your average piece of notebook paper. I flipped it over and I noticed something scribbled on the paper in neat handwriting.

  It was Yuuri's number.
