Owen’s known he was gay for as long as he could remember, but that didn’t mean he was going to jeopardize his position as future Alpha of the Blue Ridge Pack or his popular status and jock reputation by coming out. He finally got to the top of the human teens’ immature and redundant hierarchy and he wasn’t looking back. He was never going to go back to the pathetic sniveling nerd he was in the sixth grade, before his first shift, before he inherited his Alpha power and became a full wolf. Bitter, he promised himself, he would show all those who considered him weak and bullied him. He not only would take command over his pack mates, but he would also rule the weakling humans too. He was never going back to the cold hard loneliness of being on the bottom of the food chain, being dismissed as some kind of trash and striped of his birthright as Alpha and pride as a wolf, something he was sure would happen if he were to be open about his sexuality. He was finally one of them, not just one of their many targets. He’d worked so hard training and practicing at every turn he got, embracing sports as a release for his woes, slowly gaining and building up trust with the other boys. His hard work paid off too, because by the end of his eighth grade year he had gained recognition and respect from the popular populous, and held his authority over his pack mates. Giving him a spot at the top of the hierarchy, a spot he still holds today as a senior in high school. Nothing will ever come between him and his precious popularity or his position… That is until Owen’s eighteenth birthday when his wolf reaches full maturity and can find his mate…
But what happens when not only is his mate from a rival pack, but his mate is a nerd, and is also another male.

Luckily being a supernatural being has its benefits, as Cole is hardly injured by the school’s human bullies; however his Pack isn’t the only one at Lake Ridge High. His father’s biggest rival pack just happens to cohabitate at the hell hole that is high school. But what happens when Cole's birthday is just around the corner, and he finds his mate…
