Awoken by a harsh breeze, Cathrine'eyes peeled open. She starred up into the sky, no clouds in sight. She sat up and checked her surroundings. Beside her laid Greer, still unconscious. Pillars surrounded the area and one mystic figure sat still atop one of them. Cathrine got up and rubbed her eyes.
"W-what the hell is this?"
She looked out in the distance only to see more clouds. She woke atop the tallest, most peaceful mountain inside the dome. Greer woke up and noticed Cathrine. She sat upward quick and looked around as well.
"Where are we?"
"I'm not too sure... but that thing has apparently been watching us" Cathrine pointed at the still being.
"Hey buddy! Want to tell us where the hell we are?" Cathrine demanded as she walked closer, Greer watching carefully.
The still being sat and looked upon Cathrine. It's eyes the only visible part of is body, shimmering a bright blue. It stood upright, starring down at the both of them and jumped down. It's white robe flowed in the wind as it descended, coming down gently on landing.
Greer stood up and went by Catherine's side, staying awfully close for what's to come. Cathrine backed up with the sight of its movement.
"Listen. You tell us where the hell we are right now and we'll be just fine." Cathrine threatened.
"Silence." The creature muttered in a low voice, leaving the two girls speechless.
"You." He pointed at greer, then at a symbol in the ground symbolizing a tiger "Here. Now."
Greer hesitated before obeying its order. The creature nodded and pointed to the next symbol on the ground, there being a total of fourteen.
"You. Here."
Cathrine rolled her eyes and stood on the panel, symbolizing a breeze. The two symbols began to shine, leaving the girls clueless. The creature nodded.
"You. Both. Correct."
Greer tilted her head.
"Correct? How are we correct?"
The creature starred and walked closer. It grabbed Cathrine by the neck and lifted her up, Cathrine throwing punches as she struggled.
"LET ME...GO." Cathrine muttered.
"HEY BUDDY LET HER GO!" Greer ran from her symbol. She strike the creatures body and it looked down at her.
"Ok." It chucked her right off of the mountains edge, sending her plummeting into the clouds. Greer screamed and froze.
"WHAT DID YOU JUST DO?"
"Let. Go."
"N-NOT LIKE THAT" Greer broke into tears and fell on her knees.
Greer's sadness became anger as she stood up, glaring at the creature. She charged at it, the tattoo on her neck shimmering. It was the shape of three claw marks down her neck. It glowed a bright yellow and Greer's body began to change. Her small like figure became that of a tiger's. She ran on all fours before jumping atop of the creature. She froze as she realized what had just occurred.
"W-what the?" she thought to herself "How..."
Greer slowly moved off of her prey and sat down, still in her tiger form. She observed herself, fur flowing in the wind like a river. Her senses were greatly heightened as she heard the fallen figure beside her breathe. She licked her paws curiously and turned back human. She stood up quickly and looked down at the creature.
"WHAT JUST HAPPENED..? AND WHO ARE YOU."
It opened its eyes and floated back upwards.
"I. Am. Zen." It slowly pointed to itself
"You. Are. Tigris."
Greer stood confused about what he has said, putting it together like a puzzle. She ran back to the circle of symbols on the ground, peering at each one of them. She noticed one that resembled a flame, a clock, and a lightning bolt. She finally found the same symbol that Cathrine stood upon, the breeze.
"Wait...does that mean..?"
Seconds passed before a large dragon flew up into the sky above her. It's belly colored white and blue as well as its wings. It landed down with its giant claws, starring directly at Greer with its ocean blue eyes. Atop of it sat Cathrine, holding on tightly for her life. She released the Dragon's back and jumped down, stomping towards the Zen.
"ALRIGHT LISTEN HERE PAL, THROWING ME OFF THE DAMN MOU-"
The dragon roared loud, sending out a burst of air towards Cathrine. She slid forward near the edge of the mountain. Cathrine starred down at the rough fall and pushed her hands forward, blasting her back with a burst of air. She slid back to where she was and looked at the Dragon.
"Really?" She rolled her eyes and turned back to the Zen.
"What the hell happened to me...What have i become?"
"You. Are. Wind." The zen looked down at Cathrine.
"Wind?" Cathrine stood clueless "I mean i know i stay looking fly but..."
Greer laughed low and interrupted.
"No Catherine...come here" She signaled her over. Cathrine turned to look at Greer before making way. The two stood at the edge of the circle of symbols, viewing it closely.
"It's like we're a part of the circle. You see when we stepped on the Tiger and Breeze symbols, it glowed right? We also have the ability to turn into a tiger and..." She looked at the dragon behind her and back at Cathrine. "Control the nine winds." Greer laughed.
Cathrine studied the circle and rubbed her arm softly.
"That means all these other symbols are other people...with the power the matches the symbol."
Greer shrugged and nodded.
"I suppose so."
The girls noticed a symbol of a machete and a chill ran down their skin. They shrugged it off and headed back to where the Zen stood.
"What do we have to do...with that?"
"Find. Match. Then. Leave."
The girls nodded slowly, looking back at the Dragon. It laid on the ground calmly with its eyes closed.
"What about him?" Cathrine looked at the Zen "Why did he save me?"
"He. Is. Your. Dragon." The zen stated.
Cathrine's eyes widened and turned back to the sleeping beast.
"He. Protect." The zen muttered.
The two girls walked to the great dragon, Greer saddling on top. Cathrine stood by its head, running her hand softly down its scaled forehead. It opened its eyes and looked at her, causing Cathrine to jump a bit.
"I shall call you....Hmm" She stood thinking.
"His. Name..." The zen muttered
"Zeus it shall be" Cathrine interrupted, ignoring the Zen.
She smiled and rubbed its nose. Cathrine then saddled onto its back in front of Greer. The two gripped onto the scales on its back. Zeus stood up and opened its giant wings, shadowing the Zen from where he stood.
"WE'LL FIND THE REST AND WHEN WE DO, WE'LL BRING THEM TO YOU!" Cathrine yelled.
The dragon then turned off the mountain and dived down into the sea of clouds, piercing through like paper.
