CHAPTER TWO
Liam blinked and sighed. She couldn't sign two pieces of paper?
"Why can't you sign?"
"Why don't your foster parents sign?" Liv asked.
The boy snorted, "they'd lose the money they get every month. They refuse to sign. Look, my sister and I have been through a lot could you just please sign,"
Olivia thought for a second.
"How about I read through all this and I'll get it to you tomorrow,"
Liam agreed thinking it was better than nothing.
"I should get going, I'll stop by tomorrow after school." He stood up and secured his backpack.
He stopped at the door and turned to Olivia, "for the record, im really glad I got to meet you. And I know you probably don't care but I've always wanted to be a cop."
Olivia sighed heavily once the boy was out of sight. She held her head in her hands trying to process everything that she just learned. She never knew meeting her child could hurt her heart so much. Now what was she going to do?
___
"Arden!" Liam called out to his sister. He crossed the street and waited for her to come closer.
Once the girl was next to him he grinned at her, "I met her,"
Arden raised her eyebrows, "she signed?" "Well no but she said she might, but it was so cool meeting her and get this she l-"
"Liam, don't do this to yourself." Arden stopped him, her brother tended to get his hopes up very easily and always ended up getting hurt. "She threw us away. She doesn't want us."
Liam stopped in his tracks, making Arden stop to. "Thanks for the reminder Ary. I know that okay?"
Arden felt bad, "I'm sorry, why don't you tell me more about meeting her?" She asked in hopes of making her brother feel better, even though she really didn't want to know anything about the woman who gave her up.
"We look a lot like her," Liam smiled.
AN; Liam is a little cinnamon roll. Arden will be meeting Olivia soon...so we'll see how that goes. What do you guy think so far?
