Chapter 4: He knows

"I just wanted to say Happy Birthday and good luck." Nathan said.

"Yeah right. What do you really want?"

"Okay so my other half has gone missing and I need to find her."

"And what does that have to do with me?"

"Well you are really good at finding people and I would love it if you helped me find her." I scoffed

"She ran away probably because you beat her half to death." he smiled. I stood up and walked around the table to him. "Admit it. You loved it. You loved beating her and making her cry and showing her in a sick cruel way that you are stronger than her." I screeched in his face. "No I will not help you. I hope you die drunk and alone just like you are now." I turned on my heel and ran into our waitress. "Here," I handed her a 20$ bill,"keep the change as a tip. I would suggest that you stay away from him." I pointed to my cousin behind me.

As I got into my jeep to leave he came out of the café. "I know you have her. Have fun running. But remember everytime you feel safe in a hiding place I will find you."

"Good luck with that!" I yelled and speed back to the hotel. I ran to my room and bursted into my room. Heaving my breath in and out I said,"He knows... you're.... with.... me." Both Sky and BrookLynn stared at me like I was crazy. I looked to the right of them and there was Mikey, Nathan's brother. "Hey how are you doing?"

"Good, thanks for asking. And you?" he said.

"Same." I told him.

"Wait. How does he know?!" Sky asked looking wholeheartedly concerned.

"I am not sure. Maybe he saw us in my jeep or something but we will have to leave tomorrow morning at the latest. Sky I would recommend that you come along but it is up to you."

"What do you mean leaving?" BrookLynn asked.

"You remember how I told you I would keep you safe." She nodded,"That is what I am doing. We need to stay on the move for a bit until we can do something to stop him. Which will be a while. Staying in one place is unsafe. But moving around and leaving this city maybe even the state will keep him from finding you."

"When are we leaving?" Sky asked. Mikey looked pissed.

"Are you actually going to go with them Sky?!"

"Yes I am and there isn't anything you can do about it." SHe told him as she wrapped her arms around BrookLynn comforting her.

"But I want to be with you."

"Come along then." I told him,"I'm not going to wait for you though."

"Yeah you should come along, you know him best!" Sky said. Lets hope that he doesn't tell his brother what we are doing. He might have been the reason that Nathan already knows that BrookLynn is with me.

"Alright it's getting late you guys should get some sleep. We are leaving at 8 in the morning. Be sure to pack enough clothes for atleast a week and other neccessities. I am going to go and change my car. I will be back. Get some sleep okay. BrookLynn i will go and get your clothes."

" Be careful." She told me.

"I will be fine. He probably not even home anyways." She nodded and I gave her a hug. With that I left.

Hopefully he isn't there. Who knows if he is sober or not. I put my jeep in gear and drove towards my cousins house. I pulled up and he wasn't there thank the lord. Not risking it I parked my jeep around the block and ran back to the house. Whats funny about him is that he always leaves one of his windows open all the time. I found it and climbed through. It was his room. I can only imagine what he has done to her in this room. I went to the closet and grabbed a suitcase. I put as many clothes as I could in there. I stole a pink pillow which was obviously hers and went down stairs.

A car door slammed shut. "Shoot." I back to the room and out the window. I ran to the side of the house and snuck past his car.

"Hey! Melod! WHAT ARE YOU DOING AT MY HOUSE?!" With that I booked it as fast as I could back to my jeep. Tossing her stuff in to the back and I drove off. Now to my parents house.

"Mommy Daddy I'm hooommmmmeeeeee!" I needed my moms SUV. It fits 7 so there should be enough room for all of us and our stuff.

"Hey how is it going hun?" my mom asked.

"I need your car. You take mine but I need the room."

"Why?"

"Because I met a girl and her other half is Nathan and I need to get her out of here so she is going to come along with me, so is her friend and MIkey." I said really fast. It was getting dark and i needed to leave soon so I could map and plan this trip/escape.

"Okay leave your keys on the counter and take mine. Have fun dear!" I rushed and grabbed her keys. I went outside and transfered a few things from my car to hers. "Hun be careful with Mikey don't put too much trust into him. Although he is against the beating he is very loyal to his brother." My mom told me.

"I will mom. Don't worry Ive got this covered." I went up and gave her a hug goodbye.
