Author's note
Just pretend that Reece already has his drivers license for this chapter.***
On the next day it was George who caught me naked in the bathroom because I still didn't lock the door. He was so sorry and his face turned so red the I almost felt sorry for him instead of the other way around.
"It's okay George, you didn't see anything at all! It's my fault, I didn't lock the door!" I tried to calm him down even though he already was outside.
"I'm so sorry, Selena!" He said one more time and went away.
The plan for today was that George, Reece, Blake and I would drive downtown because there was a famous instruments shop the boys absolutely wanted to visit one time.
Eva joined us as well. Originally I hadn't wanted to go with the boys because I hated shopping and similar things but Eva wanted to use the chance to get closer to Reece and it would be more inconspicuous when I was present as well.
So Eva had convinced me and now I sat in the car on the rear bench seat at the right window. Blake was on the other side and between the two of us was George. Reece drove the car and Eva was next to him.
Reece stopped at a gas station and opened the door. "I need to fill up. I'm right back." He said while he already climbed out.
Eva immediately opened the door to follow him. "And I'll help you." She said delighted.
George also stood up and climbed over Blake. "I need to pee." He said and was gone as well.
Suddenly Blake and I were alone in the car. We didn't talk because we wanted to listen to Reece and Eva.
As we gave up understanding them Blake said, "Why does Eva want to help Reece? It's not that difficult to fuel." I assumed that it had been a rhetorical question because we both might know why Eva had followed Reece.
"Believe me, for Eva there is every time something to help Reece with." I laughed.
When they finished they walked into this little house to the cash desk to pay. They seemed very deep in a conversation and as a consequence Reece locked the car by habit. He completely forgot that Blake and I still sat in the car.
As I heard the sound of the locking doors all of my muscles began to tense. Also my chest. Consequently I couldn't breathe anymore.
The door is locked.
My hands got sweaty and I stared at the point I had seen Reece and the key the last time.
Breathe!
My hand cramped at the grip on the door and I tried to breathe again. All I was able to do was a helpless gasp.
Blake heard that and turned his head around to look at me. Seeing me with my widened eyes, staring at a certain point and sitting totally stiff in that chair, he shocked, "Oh my god!"
Within less than a second he unfastened his seat belt and overcame the gap between us to come to me.
"Selena! What's wrong?!" He looked helpless for a sign on my body what could have been the flash point for my strange action. He couldn't find anything.
The door is locked. There is no escape for you, a voice constantly repeated in my head.
"Shit! Speak with me! Please breathe!" Blake said in panic.
He grabbed my cheeks to turn my face towards him so that I had to look into his eyes. They were widened in shock and looked around my face, full of panic. "You. Have. To. Breathe." He said slowly and hauntingly.
Somehow I managed to take one single breath. I pressed out with the little air I had been able to take, "The locked door... I can't..."
No escape.
"What can I do?" Blake said desperately. Where there tears in his eyes?
I tried to at least whisper another time. " ... distract me"
The last word wasn't more than a move of my lips.Blake understood. He looked around to find anything what could distract me but there was nothing.
No escape.
In the next second I felt his lips on mine.
