Chapter 5

"I see you three have returned rather later than I expected for such a simple task as this." Master Jiemma glared at us from his throne.

I stepped forward with a blank face on, "We had a few interferences but we easily took care of them and completed the task."

"Hmmmm I see." He nodded then narrowed his eyes at me, "I will say this Shayla, for your first mission you did well. I expect to see improvement in your skills with each one you complete since you're fighting along two of our guilds strongest members."

I bowed my head, "Of course sir."

"You three are dismissed." Master Jiemma stood up and walked away probably to his office.

Once he was out of sight, I let a smile of relief graced my face and smiled brightly at my friends. "Did you see that?! I totally handled that so well! I bet you couldn't even tell I was terrified behind that stoic face of mine! Hahaha-OW!"

Bianca casually bonked Shayla on her forehead from ontop of her head and leaned down glaring at her tiredly, "Keep it low, I'm trying to sleep."

"Bianca actually brought up a good point, sleep sounds good about now." Sting yawned as he stretched his arms out.

I nodded my head and looked at the clock hanging on the wall and noticed it was evening time, "Huh, I didn't even notice the Sun was setting. Well, I guess I'll be heading home now."

Just as I was about to walk away I felt someone grab my wrist and I knew from the tingles that it was Rogue.

"Shayla wait..." He looked away and with a blush on his cheeks, "Let me walk you home."

"Sure." I smiled at him and grabbed his hand without even thinking about my actions and walked out of the guild building with Rogue's hand in mine.

The walk home was silent but not the awkward kind, more of the relaxed kind. We'd have to stop though ever few seconds to make sure Frosch was still next to us, because he has a terrible habit of getting distracted and running off. Luckily we made it to my apartment complex without any issues.

"Well I guess this is good night." I spoke once we were in front of my door.

Rogue nodded his head, "Goodnight Shayla."

I turned around to unlock my door, I placed my hand on the doorknob and before I turned it, I quickly turned around and kissed Rogue on the cheek. "Thanksforsavingmeonthistripgoodnight!" I rushed out and quickly entered my apartment closing the door behind me with a slam.

I slid down the door with my face burning red, "I can't believe I just did that!"

"I'll say it's about time you finally did something." Bianca spoke opening one eyes.

"Oh hush and go back to sleep." I muttered as I walk to our room.

I placed Bianca on her spot in the bed and quickly changed into my pajamas then hopped into bed.

'Hopefully my actions won't things awkward tomorrow with Rogue and I.' I thought as I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

The next morning Bianca and I made our way over to the guild.

"I don't see why we have to be here so early, Shay." Bianca yawned from ontop of my head.

"It's not early, it's almost noon. You're just sleepy from your after breakfast nap." I said. "Besides it's my turn to make lunch for everyone so I want to get there as soon as I can to get everything set up."
