I had set an alarm for 4:00 pm. I ended up sleeping through it and woke up at 4:38 pm. "Ugh! Why am I such a heavy sleeper?! I only have 22 minutes to get ready." Having to rush to get ready did not help. I already was feeling anxious. Kihyun was always punctual. He'd be here at exactly 5:00 pm. I quickly rummaged through my closet for the right clothes. I paused as I thought about what I was doing. "No, I'm not getting ready for him. I just like looking good." I told myself as I found the right clothes. I put on my clothes and shoes. I went into the bathroom, brushed my teeth, and fixed my hair. I looked at myself in the mirror. Not bad for someone who was rushing. With that done I checked the time. "4:53. Good." I sat in my living room and doodling on a note pad. I miss my phone. As soon as the time hit 5:00 pm I heard a beep outside my house. "How does he do it?" I thought aloud and headed out. Kihyun waved at me. I opened the passenger door and got in. "Hey! Right on time as always." I smiled.
"What can I say, being on time is important." He responded.
"I actually expected you to say it's a force of habit. I mean you must've gotten used to it since the teacher always scolded us when we were constantly late for class back in middle school." I smirked.
"We're seniors now Hyungwon. Gotta grow up eventually." Kihyun said. I frowned. Thinking of that made me uneasy. I haven't gotten a job yet since my parents have me covered. Of course I'm obviously getting a job but once I'm out of high school. Knowing that school is almost over for me kinda made me nervous. Growing up is scary.
"I'm enjoying my youth!" I replied. Kihyun laughed and nodded understanding. The rest of the car ride was silent. I wasn't one for small talk and Kihyun didn't mind. This was good because it gave me time to mentally prepare myself. I listened to music to calm myself down. Ugh why am I so nervous?! I had drifted into sleep unknowingly until Kihyun shook me awake.
"I hope you had a nice nap princess. We're here." Kihyun said mockingly. I glared at him and sat up. "So are you going to ask for your phone back or still don't have the courage?" He asked. I looked at him uneasy. He sighed and started to get out of the car.
"No wait!" Kihyun stopped in his place as soon as I said that. "Wait..." He closed the door and waited for me to continue. "I'll go." I groaned. Kihyun grinned.
"Go for it Hyungwon! You'll be fine. Fighting!!!" Kihyun cheered me on as I got out of the car. I didn't know whether he was being serious or just mocking me again. I walked hesitantly to Wonho's house. I let out a shaky breath and knocked on the door. A few seconds later a disheveled Wonho opened the door.
"Hey." Wonho said in a husky voice.
"Hey." I replied nervously. "Sorry did I wake you?"
"No..." he stays quite for a second. "Yeah ok you did wake me." Wonho laughs.
"It's 5 pm. What're you doing still asleep?" I asked.
"Hey you look sleepy yourself." Wonho pointed. I rubbed at my sleepy eyes feeling embarrassed. He's right. "Plus, it's not like we did much sleeping last night." Wonho smirked. I gave a look of annoyance. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have brought it up." I stayed quiet. "So... what're you here for? I'm sure you didn't come here to see me so, what's up?"
"I left my phone" I said awkwardly.
"Oh ok. Well come in. I can help you look if you'd like." He moved away from the door way to let me in. I looked back at Kihyun in the car then walked in.
"Ok." I looked around the house wide eyed. The house was trashed. Although I'm not surprised considering he did just have a party the night before. I inwardly cringed. Just thinking of the night before made me red.
