-Emily's P.O.V.-

I didn't really get to talk about myself. Wow, I sound egotistical. My name is Emily Marie James. I'm 16 years old and I have brown hair with blue highlights. I'm 5'4 and a great personality. Just don't get on my bad side.
My dad left me when I was twelve and it affected me. My parents had to work together to pay the bills. My mom didn't have enough money to send me to Great Wood so I had to attend Walsham. The children there got me into the habit of cursing.
People bullied me. One day I finally stood up for myself and they actually left me alone. I felt like I could do anything, I felt like I was powerful.
The money problems started to worsen so my mom had to start gambling. She worked as a waitress at Benny's Burger Shop. It wasn't a lot of money but it helped. We were almost broke and out of hope. My mom took a chance and won the lottery. Our lives turned around. Everything changed ever since. My dad still never came back.
Enough of the sob story. Let's talk about school. My friends Charlotte Erson and Victoria Herman are the kindest people in the world. They will always be my best friends.
Charlotte has blonde hair and she's really girly. She likes dressing up, shopping, texting, you know, girly stuff.
Victoria has black hair and she loves sports. She likes to get down and dirty. Really dirty.
Class was actually interestingly......
BORING. The teachers killed us with quizzes. It's the second day of school, gosh!
Lunch time got a little bit hectic. Great Wood hasn't changed a bit.
I sat down at the lunch table beside my friends. Of course, Jade went to hang out with the older children.
My old crush, Jake, and his friends came to sit with us. When I mean us I mean all the girls in the class. Everyone but Jade sits at the same table. It's not a big class. We take up like two tables.
"Hey Em," said Max Walsh, the bad boy. I thought he was incredibly hot but I wouldn't date him.
"How's it going? Grades still bad?" I said, grinning.
"Yep. How was Walsham? Was it-" Jake nudged Max, probably telling him to shut up.
"Em, can we talk?" Jake said, looking me straight in the eyes.
"Sure," I replied.
What could he possibly want to talk about? I think he's just a complete loser after what he did.
We went to the back of the school to talk alone. I leaned on the wall of the school.
"What do you want?" I said, remembering what he did.
"I'm sorry. I just wanted you to feel better." He said apologetically.
"I don't want you fucking apology! It was better you didn't ask me out. You wanted me to be your girlfriend for show. I can probably forgive Jade for telling her friend about the note about you but I can't forgive you."
"What was I supposed to fucking do?! Make you feel awkward around me for the entire school year? Huh?! I wanted you to feel a little better that she blurted your secret?"
"I was fine! Leave me the fuck alone!" I stormed off, leaving him standing there.
