Raine P.O.V
I walked in school and Leyla was the first person I seen. She walked to me glowing and what not.
“Hey girl” he said putting her arm around my shoulder as we walked down the hallway. I looked at her like she was crazy but all she did was smile.
“So what happened last night? Darryl came to my house looking for you.” She said as we stopped at my locker. I sighed as I felt tears coming.
“Uh, nothing” I mumbled grabbing my books.
“If you say so, what you doing this weekend?” she asked and I shrugged.
“The usual, stay home and do work.” I said looking at her. She stared at my face and I looked down.
“Hey wha- she started but was interrupted by Comar coming down the hallway.
“Lauraine! Come here for a second” he said waiting across the hall. I slowly walked over to him.
“What are you doing?” I whispered as I got close to him. He smirked down at me and I rolled my eyes.
“I just didn’t want your friend to be asking you questions.” He said and I looked back at Leyla. She was on her phone staring at us and I turned back to him.
“Oh, so was that all?”
“Naah, I was wondering if you wanted to... you know come back to my place after school.” He suggested
“Umm no, I’m ok Comar. Thanks tho” I said getting ready to walk off but he stopped me.
“Lauraine, foreal… I don’t think you’re safe out there. I know, I don’t know what happened but I wanna make sure you’re safe at night.” He said and I sighed.
“Ok Comar but can you please keep this private” I pleaded and he nodded looking down the hall. His Best friend Wayne was standing there and he looked at me.
“Imma catch you later tho.” He said before walking off. I smiled and looked at Leyla. Her eyebrow was raised and I shook my head walking to first period.

“Girrrrrl lemme tell you how…” Leyla started “Wayne asked me to come to a house party with him on Friday!” she yelled and I laughed at how hype she was.
“Why are you so excited?” I asked walking out the school. She smiled wide and turned in front of me.
“Becauseeeee, he’s sexy as fuck. Just like Comar, Girl you needa jump on that.” She said just as Comar pulled up. I chuckled and looked around her. She turned around with her mouth wide open as I got in the front seat.
“Wassup ma”
“Hey Comar” I said before looking back at Leyla. She was smiling and I shook my head.
“Imma catch you later Leyla”
“Aight girl!” she yelled before Comar pulled off. We headed back to his house. I wanted to go home but I knew I didn’t need to be there. Once we were at his house, Comar went to go change.
“Lauraine do you have clothes?” He asked and I shook my head in shame.
“I gotchu ma, you don’t gotta worry bout it.” He said and I stared at him. He started to walk down the steps but I stopped him.
“Where you going?” I asked
“I’m bouta go do something with my little bro. I’ll be back soon tho” he said
