It was 1982 in Las Vegas or Henderson, which ever one you prefer. My name is Lucy. I am 13 years old and one year ago in the spring of 1981 my older sister Layla went missing. It was hard on my family. My mom my dad, but most of all me. She was my older sister. I know your thinking that I should be happy she is gone and to enjoy being an only child right? Wrong.
She was like my second mom, but better. She was always looking out for me. If anyone made me feel bad my sister would teach the other guy a lesson and make me happy. And when I say "teach them a lesson" I mean like she would sit them down and give them a lesson on being kind. She was so nice she refused to argue with me even if I was mad at her.
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!!!
I was getting up for the morning to go to school as I have been doing for many years.
"Honey sweetie you umm...need to get up and school and what ever." My mom said stumbling into my room.
My mom used to be the best person ever. She was head doctor at a hospital and never let a patent die with out a fight. She was a lively girl and was super sporty. But because she worked so hard and long we were never that close.
Then there was my dad was a good guy. He was retired from working at a UFC manager and he was in the army for three years and thank God he didn't loose anything and didn't get into any wars. But ever since my sister had gone missing he is a drunk who won't leave the couch.
As I went downstairs ready for school I saw one of our old family photos with my sister. Seeing her big blue eyes and long strawberry red hair and her big white and perfect smile made me feel warm inside and made me think that she could still be out there.
"I liiiiike to have a beeer in me hand at all times times imes imes mes mes..." He then took a big swig of beer and threw his bottle across the room.
"Hey gurl get me one more...." He then passed out due to how drunk he was.
So I went to school like I always do but today
