Sam scoured the library index, trying to find anything on the dead coming back, sudden increase of strength, anything to give them a clue on what's happened to Lilly. After about an hour of getting no where, Sam takes a break and goes to find Lilly, he finds her buried in her blankets completely immersed in Doctor Who season 8. Sam stood in her doorway for a moment, and just watched her, still amazed that she's actually back.
"So, you come back from laying in a coffin for months and all you do is sit in bed and watch Netflix? Shouldn't you be doing something a little more exciting?" Sam asked moving into her room.
"Hey! This is exciting!" Lilly defended. "All the new shows, and seasons, plot lines, characters, and movies!" Lilly gushed and pulled Sam down onto the bed next to her. "Have you told anyone I'm back yet?"
"No, we probably should though; at least Cas and Charlie." Sam said crawling under the blankets to join his sister. "What's this show about again? She an alien right?" Sam asked pointing to a character on the screen.
"What? No! Thats Clara, she is human," Lilly pointed to Peter Capaldi. "That's the Doctor, he's the alien." Lilly pauses the show and turned to face her brother. "So the Doctor is a Time Lord of Gallifrey and he travels through time and space saving all these different planets and species from whatever. Also he almost always has a female human companion from 21st century London. Now shush and let me watch." Lilly explains before turning back to the screen and resuming the episode. They sat there huddled together watching the show, at the end of the episode Lilly's stomach growled rather loudly.
"Alright, I think it's time for food," Sam clambered out of the bed, turned and held his hand to help Lilly out of the mound of blankets. "So what do you want for lunch?" Sam asked as they walked into the kitchen.
"I don't know, what can you make?" Lilly asked while Sam rooted around in the fridge trying to plan a meal.
"You know I'm not the cook in this family, but I can make a mean salad. How does that sound?"
"That sounds wonderful." Lilly approved as she hopped up onto the big metal island. "Ooo, cold! Why haven't we redecorated this place yet?"
"I don't know, maybe cause we don't actually have any of our own money. Plus it's not like we really have time for big construction projects, and we wouldn't even know what we are doing. We are hunters not contractors." Sam responded as he continued making their salads.
"True but this place could still stand to look homier."
"Why are you just now bringing this up?" Sam asked chopping up the ingredients for the salad. "I mean we've been here for how many years? Whats up with you?"
"I don't know, tis always felt kinda boring and..." Lilly paused trying to find the right word. "cold, ya know?"
"Yeah, I get that." Sam handed her a big bowl of salad and leaned on the counter beside Lilly. "Why don't we go shopping tomorrow and get some paint and such to spruce up the place?"
"So, family shopping trip?" Lilly asked with a hopeful gleam in her eyes.
"I wouldn't have it any other way," Sam laughed.
"Mmmm," Lilly moaned with a mouthful of salad. "I can't even remember the last time I had a salad, but that may have to do with the fact that I've been dead for five months." Lilly jokes. Sam stops eating to turn and throw her a bitch face. "Too soon?"
"Yeah, Lilly I think one day is too soon." Sam turns his attention back to his salad.
"Too soon for what?" Dean asked as he walked in took a seat on the other side of Lilly.
"Dead jokes," Lilly casually says.
"Dude, you've barely been back a day!" Dean exclaimed.
"It's not like this is a new thing, all of us have come back from the dead before."
"True, but" Dean came to stand in front of Lilly he grabbed her biceps and looked into her eyes, "you have to understand we thought this was it for you." Dean became solemn, "We never thought we would see you again." Lilly looked into her brother's eyes, she saw the sincerity and the sorrow buried deep within.
"It's all my fault," Lilly burst into tears and clung on to Dean like he was to only thing keeping her there. "I never should have trusted Josh, I knew it was too good to be true," Lilly sobbed. Dean wrapped his arms securely around his other half, he stood there in the middle of the kitchen letting her tears soak his t-shirt.
"NO, don't do this to yourself," Dean said rubbing Lilly's back soothingly. "None of this is your fault, there is no reason to blame anyone but Dick."
"I should have listened to you, you knew there was something off about him. I'm so sorry, I put you through all this; both of you," Lilly said turning back toward Sam and pulling him into their hug. "I can't imagine what it was like for you guys, I love you both so fucking much!" Lilly said as she pulled away looking into their eyes. "There is nothing I wouldn't do for my boys."
"You know we love you too, but enough of this chick flick moment. I need some food, and none of that rabbit shit you're eating," Dean said pulling away to scour the fridge. Lilly huffed out a laugh and climbed back onto the counter to finish her salad.
"I got some of the good Mac and cheese if you want that, it's on the shelves over there," Lilly told Dean gesturing toward the shelving unit behind the door.
"Oh fuck yes!" Dean exclaimed. "You know me so well."
"So Lilly and I were thinking about going into town tomorrow to buy some paint and other decorating supplies to redo her room. Maybe we can get some other stuff for this place, make it a bit more homely, what do you say, you in?" Sam asked Dean putting the dishes in the sink.
"You better not leave those there," Lilly commented knowing he had a tendency to just leave his dishes in the sink for the other two to clean. Sam sighed and started in on the mess.
"Yeah, okay let's do it," Dean agreed finishing up the mac and cheese. "You want some?" Dean asked Lilly.
"Always," Lilly hops down from her perch to grab two bowls from the cabinet.
"Dude, you just ate a fairly large salad," Sam comments.
"Yeah, your point?" Lilly asked stuffing her face with the scrumptious pasta, Sam simply laughs with a shake of his head setting the dishes in the rack to dry. "So you wanna go tomorrow morning, afternoon, what?" Lilly asked around a mouth full of food.
"Why don't we go in the afternoon, I wanna test out your new super-strength; see if you actually have it or if it was some sort of temporary side effect of however you came back," Sam told them heading out of the kitchen.
"Alright, asshole Imma go finish playing catch up with Netflix," Lilly announced leaving Dean to the dishes.
"Have fun hoe!" He called out after her.
