Your pov I pick up rocks from around the pond and throw them in. It's been awhile since Milak has been dead. His twin, Alissa, doesn't think he's dead. She thinks he's still out there,N she says 'I can feel it he's alive!' I want to believe he is too, but I can't.
Flashback Authors pov You and the group, Eli, Alissa, Milak, Hailn, and Essa are walking around the park talking about the drama in the compound. "Oh my god! Did you hear that Jark got Kaili pregnant? I was totally shocked! I bet his parents were mad at him and beat the crap out of him." Essa giggles as she spews her drama about the bad boy Jark, the player in the compound. Alissa giggles as well and picks up a stick and throws it at Essa. "Dude everyone knows that already!" Milak chuckles and shrugs. "I didn't know Jark got Kaili pregnant, I thought it was Eli." Eli scoffs and hits Milak on his head. "I told you, I'm not in love with her anymore." Milak laughs while Hailan sighs and closes his book. Halian falls down clutching his arm. "FUCK!" You run over to Halian and look behind him. You see a Grapron, the most feared monster. "GRAPRON!" "(Y/N) GO GET HALIAN TO THE MEDIC! GO GET THE CHIEF AND TELL HIM THERES A GRAPRON!" Milak yells. "OK!" You pick up Halian, which is surprising light even though he's well built. You run to the medic tent. "HELP! HALIAN HAS BEEN ATTACKED BY A GRAPRON!" The medics rush over to you and take Halian. You run into the Chief's tent. "CHIEF THERES A GRAPRON, ALISSA, ESSA, ELI, AND MILAK ARE FIGHTING IT!" The chief stand up quick and runs out of the tent. You run to the gang and see Milak get thrown onto a tree and cough up blood. "MILAK!" The Grapron turns to me and runs towards me. Alissa throws a boulder at it, it turns to Alissa and growls. It pounces at her while I try to run to Milak. Then the Grapron grabs Milak and runs into the forest. "MILAK!" "(Y/N)!" You try to run and catch up to get Milak but it disappears. "NO! MILAK! MILak.... No..." You fall to your knees and cry. You scream in agony and cry harder. "WHY COULDN'T HAVE BEEN ME?" You feel someone hug you from behind. You turn back to see Eli, you hug him back. "Why...why couldn't have it been me.." "(Y/N)... I'm so sorry..."
Back to reality Your pov I wipe the tears that started streaming down my face. "(Y/N)! Dinner's ready! Come on!" My mom calls from the tent. I sigh and splash my face with water. I walk to the tent to see my mom by the opening. She looks into my eyes and sighs. "Honey were you crying again?" I nod, she walks over to me and hugs me. "I'm sorry, Milak was a good person I know. But you got to let things go." "Yeah..." I hug back and pull away. "Alright let's go eat dinner." She smiles at me and I smile back. "Ok."
Time skip Still your pov I walk outside to see Halian reading a book. I look at Halian's scar from the Grapron's thorn. I sit down next to Halian. "Hey Halian. What you reading?" He looks over to me and smiles. "Oh hey (Y/N) I'm just reading a fairytale book, ya know to get a taste of childhood." He shows me the cover and I see little fairies and other make believe animals. "I wa S just on the chapter when Ja-." "ESSA, ELI, ALISSA, HALIAN, AND (Y/N) COME TO THE MAYOR'S TENT. I REPEAT COME TO THE MAYOR'S TENT." Halian and I look at each other worryingly. "Oh no.." Halian says. I sigh and groan. "It's fine it was probably them doing something stupid and breaking something." I say with a shrug, Halian nods. "Yeah, maybe. Let's go." He stands up and extends a hand for me. "Thanks." We walk into the Mayor's tent and see the others looking worried. Alissa looks at our hands and wiggles her eyebrows. "OoOoO~ The nerds are dating." We look down at our hands and realize we're still holding hands. We quickly let go and shake our heads "N-no! It's nothing like that!" Eli grabs me by the shoulders and pulls me close to him. He's always been a protective brother to me. "Back off." Essa and Alissa laughs. "Ok, ok children! I have something I need to talk to you about." We turn our attention to the mayor. "About what?" Alissa asks. "It's about Milak.." I start to walk out the tent but I hear the mayor say something shocking. "He's alive."
