Jacob:who is this?

He says as he points to James

James: I'm um James

He puts his hand out so Jacob could sake but Jacob backed away as James put his hand back in his sweatshirt

Jacob: um rose want to go to the beach to celebrate?

Rose: yeah that sounds really fun

I say as I smile at him

James: I was wondering if I can come because I really only know u rose

Jacob:well actually it was just going to be and-

Rose: of u can come

Jacob looks at me confused

Jacob: but rose

Jacob whispers to me

Rose:come on Jacob I know u don't like him but he is kinda my friend so just let it slide this time?

Jacob: only for u

Rose: um mom can u drive us to the beach but u are not STAYING

I say loud and clear

Mom: yes I can and I promise not to stay

We walk to the car Jacob standing close to me in between me and James

We get in and go to the beach

I we go by the water and sit in the sand

Jacob: so James how do u know rose?

James: um well we used to date but I moved away and then we broke up

Rose: nothing happened just a little 8th grade relationship

I look at James who looked down I look at him looking at me

Jacob: I see

Jacob says as he stands up

Rose: where u going

As I say as I get up

James: I'm gonna get a cab u need to talk nice seeing u rose and um u too Jacob

He begin to walk up by the road

I grab Jacobs shoulder

Rose: what's wrong was it something I said

Jacob: no

He looks down at his feet sadly

Jacob: it's just that the why u look at him it's like u still love him and I don't want to lose u and I don't want u to fall for him and move away since we are out of high school now

I grab Jacobs hands

Rose: that will never happen and I promise

I wrap my pinky around his

Rose: pinky swear

I he smiles

Jacob: u have no idea how much I love u

Rose: really because I think I love u more

Jacob laughs

Jacob: your too funny so what do u want to do we could go to my house

Rose: I don't know because your mom-

Jacobs cut me off

Jacob: trust me ok I will talk to her and get everything straight

Rose: ok

We hold hands as we walk to his house I'm still feeling bad about what happened about James oh well...😕

We get to his house I see his mom look at us

Pat: hey rose can I talk to u

She says in a sweet voice

Rose: um sure

I say as I let go of Jacobs hand

I walk with pat to the dinner table I see Jacob listening in on the conversation

Pat: I'm sorry of the way I acted u are a good person and u can be with Jacob so welcome to the family

She gets up and hugs me super tight all I can do is smile

Rose: thank u sooo much pat thank u for giving me another chance

I walk up to his room once my foot hits his room he pics me up and hugs me super tight

Jacob: she likes u she really likes u

I laugh as he puts me down

"Yes she does"

I whisper to myself smiling
