What the hell was with these bizarre, creepy dreams?

Sunlight greeted me, as it filtered through my curtains.

My phone buzzed and shrieked as my alarm woke me from my sleep.

Jabbing at the screen haphazardly, I managed to stop the assault on my senses.

It's morning already?

I glanced down at my phone, trying (and failing) to fully comprehend the time.

Pulling myself out of a daze, I scrambled out of bed and shuffled into the bathroom.

Getting myself into the shower was easy, getting out was the problem.

I loved the warm showers, the isolated feeling of warm water and the confines of the shower walls were relaxing.

As soon as I managed to leave, I realised that I had spent half an hour longer in the shower than I was meant to.

Shit.

Rushing the rest of my morning routine, I sped through my wardrobe and picked out some clothes at random.

I picked up my bag, newly laden with books and pens and rushed out the door.

Grandma had some sort of seniors game day on Thursdays (today) and so I was left to drive to the school myself.

That would be fine, if I didn't have the directional sense of a confused pigeon. I can find my way home if given enough time, and that's it.

But I managed well, I made three wrong turns and I almost ran over a duck, but I made my way into the school parking lot.

Hunter and Quinn were leaning on what I assumed was their car, a rusty, beaten up Jeep with fading green paint.

I smiled at them as I made my way out of the car.

"Hey, what's up?" I called out to them.

I jogged my way over to them, watching the passing students as I did.

"Nothing much, am I right?" Quinn sighed to Hunter.

"Yup." Hunter grinned as he popped the p at the end.

"Did you just pop the p?" Quinn accused.

"Yup." Hunter popped it again, his grin widening.

"What are you? A Wattpad writer?" She joked.

Hunter frowned in confusion. "What's a Wattpad?"

"Ugh, never mind." She rolled her eyes exaggeratedly.

"So what have you been up to shortie?" He smiled antagonistically.

I playfully swatted him.

"Same old, same old, but my grandma had this weird conversation with someone last night."

"Do you know who it was?" Hunter quizzed.

"No, it was just weird. She then acted like nothing happened."

"Hold up, do you know what that means?" Quinn asked gleefully.

"Oh no." Hunter moaned quietly.

"INVESTIGATION TIME!" She sang.

"What have you done?" Hunter whispered in desperation.

"We have so many things to discover." Quinn rubbed her hands gleefully.

She rushed over to the drivers seat but Hunter tackled her to the ground first.

"Look, Quinn, no. Just no. Especially not now, we have a pop quiz." He tried to reason with her.
