The Silver Moon War

Chapter 1

Silver Moon sat in front of her blue fireplace with a scroll on the royals of Pyrrhia. She looked up when there was a tap at the door.

"Can I come in?"As her mother.

Silver Moon quickly snapped her talons to put out the fire and conceal the fireplace. Even though she was an IceWing, she still liked the warmth of her fireplace. Her mother came in and walked around her large room to get in front of her.

"I see you are wearing your sapphire earrings I gave you,"she said, looking at either side of her daughter's head to see the dark blue earrings."Did you enchant them this time?"

Silver Moon nodded."I enchanted them to protect my soul."

Iceshine looked at her daughter in surprise."But my jewel, you don't use your power do-"

"No I don't, I pay attention to the rules of the IceWings. I just have this so that if I on accident cast a spell I won't have to worry about my soul," she said quickly. Silver Moon hatted lying to her mother, but not use her power when she had it? That was only an idea that her cousin, Caribou would think of.

Iceshine looked at her, then patted her on the head."I won't tell anyone,"she whispered. Then in a more happier tone, she said,"come down when you are ready to eat. We are having seal for dinner!" Then she swept out of the room and went down the hall. Sliver Moon snapped her claws and the door closed and the fireplace returned with a blue flame in it.

She turned her silver head back to the scroll and finished reading the last paragraph in the section. Then went over the list of all of the queens in her head. 

The RainWings and NightWings have Queen Moonflower, the SkyWings have Queen Ember, the SeaWings have Queen River, the SandWings have Queen Cactus Flower or Cactus for short, the MudWings have Queen Crocodile and the IceWings have my mom, Iceshine. She moved her eyes from the wall she was staring at, and slipped on her two enchanted bracelets.

One was gold with a large emerald in it, and the other was also gold with a large amethyst in it. The emerald bracelet was for hiding her power, so if she ordered an inanimate object around, it wouldn't move. And the amethyst bracelet was so she could teleport to the closest hall to the dining hall where there was no dragons.  

She held the amethyst bracelet to her head and pictured an empty hall close to the dining hall. Then when she opened her eyes, she was right out side the doors. That's strange, she thought. Usually there was servants or guards or dragons at this door, but today it was silent. She pushed open the double doors and saw it was dark inside. 

"Opal, Polar I know you are about to jump out and scare me,"she called. Silver Moon looked under the table, and as she did a dragon jumped out and yelled-

"Surprise!"And every body else joined in.

Silver Moon leaped back, suppressing the urge to breath a blast of frost breath on the dragons surrounding her . Her mother crawled out from under the table and embraced her in a giant hug.

"Happy hatching day!"She said.

Silver Moon looked around at the now lit dining hall. There was banner that said, 'Happy Hatching Day, Silver!'. 

Silver looked at her mom, confused. "Have I already turned seven? Last I checked I was four."

Iceshine squeezed her daughter's talons."You turned five! It is still a big mile stone! Almost seven!"

Silver smiled and untangled herself from her mother. She walked over to a table that had seal, walrus and tons of other food. Polar, Opal and her two friends, Wolf and Shard. When Polar and Opal saw her coming, they both muttered something under their breath and walked off.
