Never Really Add Up

Good Times, Many

Arguments, Few

You were always there for me and me there for you

We were so close

Friends wasn't even a word

Your were my sister, my bestie, my girl

I guess I put too much trust in you

And me not understanding 1+1 don't always equal 2

Because just as fast as I told you anything

You were telling someone else

So all in all the equations

Was 1 + 1 + 1 = Why

Was this whole friendship base on a lie

Everything I ever told you was true

And everything you ever told me I kept between me and you

I know I was never good at math

But I know it's always easy to add

Because 1+1 should always equal 2

And 2-1 equals me without you

And 1-0 equals me standing alone

Maybe this friendship wasn't meant to last long

People say things happen for a reason

And people come in your life just for a season

I will say this is a lesson learned

I never played with fire

But yet still I got burned

The good times we shared will be just memories of the past

And never trust anything if the numbers don't match
